  • Publication number: 20240125704
Abstract: An optical stack for sensing a presence of an analyte is provided. The optical stack includes a sensor material. The sensor material includes a first optical response including a first optical property having a second value in response to an excitation signal including the first optical property having a first value different from the second value. The first optical response includes a second optical property sensitive to the presence of the analyte. The optical stack includes a first optical film disposed proximate the sensor material and includes a third optical property having respective third and fourth values in response to the respective first and second values of the first optical property. The third value is different from the fourth value by at least a factor of 2.

  • Patent number: 11325286
Abstract: A machine produces foam-in-bag from foam precursors mixed within the bag. The machine comprises a base and a shell. The base and shell are moveable relative each other between a base/shell disengaged position and a base/shell engaged position. In the base/shell engaged position, the base and shell divide the bag so that a mixing chamber is isolated from the remainder portion of the bag. First and second nozzles inject foam precursors into the mixing chamber. A mixer engages the mixing chamber to provide mixing energy to facilitate the foam reaction.

Date of Patent: May 10, 2022
    Assignee: Sealed Air Corporation (US)

  • Publication number: 20130117891
Abstract: The present invention relates to fusion proteins that promote plant growth. More specifically, it relates to fusion proteins of polypeptides of the SAUR family fused to a heterologous polypeptide, preferably fused at the N-terminal end of the SAUR polypeptide. Said polypeptide can be expressed in a transgenic plant, possible in combination with other recombinant genes, to obtain an additive or even synergistic effect.

  • Patent number: 6895533
Abstract: A semi-automated availability-assessment system and methodology. A comprehensive questionnaire providing detailed information about the hardware and operating-system components and configuration of a system, application-and-database-software components and configuration of the system, data related to other potential sources of unplanned downtime, and data related to potential sources of planned downtime is received. The information contained in the received questionnaire is processed in several steps. First, hardware and operating-system-component-and-configuration information is extracted in order to conduct a Markov-chain availability analysis of the overall system hardware and operating system to provide a first intermediate result.

  • Patent number: 4853689
Abstract: A warning for a vehicular air brake system, which system is powered by air compressed by a rotary compressor. A sensor senses rotation of some part of the compressor, and if a signal respective to rotation is not sensed during a predetermined increment of time, an alarm is caused to alert the operator of an impending lack of compressed air.

  • Patent number: 4169486
Abstract: A gas supply system including purge means. A supply conduit having an inlet and an outlet and a downstream direction of flow has within it a purge conduit with an inlet and a discharge port. The discharge port is directed upstream in the supply conduit and discharges adjacent to its inlet, whereby to purge that region of the supply conduit and to sweep gases from the entire supply conduit. The system is also provided with a selector valve able selectively to deliver gas to a delivery conduit or to a vent conduit or to shut them both off.
