  • Publication number: 20230066170
Abstract: A device includes an interposer card that includes a processor, such as a system on a chip (SoC), and memory devices. The interposer card mounts to a mass storage device and has a shape that corresponds to a size of an end of the mass storage device to which the interposer card is mounted. The SoC of the interposer card is configured to implement an individual server for the mass storage device to which the interposer card is mounted. In some embodiments, a data storage system includes multiple mass storage devices mounted in a chassis and coupled to one or more backplanes, wherein interposer cards are connected between the mass storage devices and the one or more backplanes.

  • Patent number: 11523533
Abstract: Systems and techniques for tracking and providing real-time visualizations of maintenance time for datacenter components. The systems include sensors to detect when datacenter components are opened for maintenance, such as hot switching of hard drive disks, to initialize a countdown timer. Status indicator lights of components within the datacenter component are used to display visual representations of the countdown timer. The visualizations present a remaining or elapsed maintenance time remaining to ensure components of the datacenter component are not damaged by overheating during maintenance.

  • Patent number: 10782749
Abstract: A circuit assembly is provided which makes efficient us of space provided on a main board having a CPU and a supporting board which is designed to have a network interface chip (NIC). The circuit assembly further has a cooling plate situated between the two boards, which is optimized to provide efficient cooling operations. The circuit assembly is part of a blade, which includes a housing to contain and support all necessary components. The space within the blade housing is efficiently used, so that processing, communication and cooling operations are all optimized.

  • Patent number: 7854781
Abstract: A mount for a bezel/air filter assembly for use in mounting the bezel/air filter assembly directly to the rack or cabinet in which electrical equipment is mounted or contained. The mount is affixed to the rack or cabinet rather than to the electrical equipment mounted or contained in the rack or cabinet, making use of the normally unused frontal area along the rail forming the front of the rack or cabinet, maximizing air flow to the equipment mounted in the rack or contained in the cabinet and allowing greater packaging density. Also, by using the rack or cabinet (rather than the equipment) as a support element, the mount is substantially stronger than if the mount was affixed to the chassis.
