    Abstract: A computing device provides methods and workflow for setting up a shared family account on a content storage system, including the creation of accounts for child family members. A computing device supports the creation of a family account using an account on the content storage system associated with an adult family member acting as a family organizer. The family organizer can designate a specific account as a purchase account for allowing other family member to purchase content from content servers associated with the content storage system. The family organizer can invite other adult family members to join the shared family account. The family organizer can create new accounts on the content storage system for child family members, and can designate access and purchase restrictions for such child family members. Family members have access to shared storage content, as well as services such as family calendar, group messaging, and device location.

Graphical user interfaces (GUIs) provide an instructor with user interface elements to manage online course content. Using the GUIs, the instructor can create in-session and self-paced courses that can be delivered over a network to any number of student operated client devices. The instructor is provided a suite of editing tools that can be used to create and edit pages of content for a course, including adding links and multimedia, information pages, posts and course materials. The GUI can include a side bar that can display descriptors that can be used by the instructor to navigate pages of the course.

A host device can authorize a client for communication with the host based on a relationship between the owner of the client and the owner of the host as indicated by the presence of the contact information of the client's owner in the host's address book. To incentivize users to create custom media stations, user can be granted rewards for meeting specified rewards conditions. Rewards conditions can be based on the user creating a custom media station as well as the performance of the user's custom media stations. Rewards granted to users as well as the size of the rewards can vary depending on various factors. Rewards can include any variety of possible rewards such as monetary rewards, credits to purchase items, uninterrupted media station play, etc. A countdown timer indicating the remaining amount of uninterrupted media station play can be presented during the uninterrupted media station play. The countdown timer can be replaced with a message indicating that the uninterrupted media play has been exhausted upon the remaining amount of uninterrupted media station play time expiring.
