  • Patent number: 7096849
Abstract: The present invention provides a charge motion plate kit for internal combustion engines. More specifically, the charge motion plate kit permits replacement of the OEM charge motion valves of the prior art for high performance applications. In one embodiment, the charge motion plate kit comprises a single charge motion plate for each bank of cylinders, each charge motion plate includes at least one aperture for each cylinder within the bank. The plates are constructed to mount juxtaposed to the intake manifold mounting flange and the cylinder head intake manifold mounting surface in a sandwiched configuration.

  • Publication number: 20060153627
Abstract: A self-contained device that allows persons to easily clean the windows of their vehicles is disclosed. The device features a housing to which a cleaning wand is retractably tethered. The cleaning wand operates in a manner similar to a squeegee, but is fed cleaning fluid through the hose connected to the wand from a reservoir within the housing. Fluid is dispensed adjacent to a wiping blade on the cleaning wand, thereby allowing a person to easily wash a vehicle window without the mess normally associated with the use of a squeegee. The device may be coin-operated, thereby distributing fluid only when a coin is inserted by the person and for a set period of time.

  • Publication number: 20060096401
Abstract: The present invention provides a shifter apparatus for a manual transmission. More specifically, a shifter apparatus constructed and arranged for variable longitudinal displacement along the longitudinal centerline of the vehicle. Even more specifically, the instant invention provides a shifter body assembly that is flexibly coupled at a first end to the vehicle body and flexibly coupled at a second end to a portion of the transmission housing via a structural connecting link. The connecting link may include various fixed or adjustable lengths to allow the shifter displacement.

  • Publication number: 20060071441
Abstract: The present invention provides a suspension tuning device and kit for vehicles with four link rear suspensions. More specifically, the suspension tuning device generally comprises a pair of billet aluminum lower control arms each having a spring platform rotatably secured to a weight jacking bolt and a removable/replaceable sway bar attachment plate. Each end of the control arms include a transverse thru-bore adapted to accept a three part urethane bushing or a spherical bearing. The lower control arms are constructed to mount within a standard four link rear suspension, such as that supplied on a FORD MUSTANG, to permit quick suspension alterations throughout a predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 5755972
Abstract: A method for inhibiting barium sulfate precipitation in low pH aqueous fluids of underground petroleum-bearing formations by adding to such systems an effective amount of low molecular weight water-soluble polymer containing 5-35 weight percent sulfonic acid monomer units and 65-95 weight percent carboxylic acid monomer units, is provided. Polymer compositions based on 10-15 weight percent 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid, 15-65 weight percent acrylic acid and 25-70 weight percent maleic acid are particularly preferred for use at very low pH conditions, e.g., 5.5 or less in the presence of high sulfate ion and barium ion concentrations.

  • Patent number: 5658464
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for inhibiting the formation of metal sulfate scale in an aqueous system. Metal sulfate scale formation is inhibited by adding an effective amount of one or more poly(amino acids) and one or more inorganic phosphates to the aqueous system. The poly(amino acids) are a reaction product formed from at least one compound selected from amino acids, amic acids, ammonium salts of monoethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acids, and ammonium salts of hydroxypolycarboxylic acids. The present invention also provides a method of inhibiting the formation of metal sulfate scale by adding an effective amount of a poly(amino acid) which contains tyrosine, tryptophan, histidine, arginine or combinations thereof.
