The compatibilizer can include polar homopolymers and copolymers with inherent polyolefin compatibility; non-polymeric materials with both polar and non-polar functionality; low molecular weight materials with both polar and non-polar functionality; and bulk phase/in-situ compatibilizers. Alternatively, polyolefin can be modified to function as the compatibilizer.
