  • Publication number: 20120189992
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to apparatus and methods for establishing standards for visual residue limits, training individuals to visually observe and recognize surfaces exceeding or complying with residue limits, and certifying individuals for such detection limits The invention features a kit comprising an assembly of coupons with predetermined loads.

  • Publication number: 20070202059
Abstract: The invention relates to a high-temperature stable, one-part, aqueous tooth bleaching composition for contacting a tooth surface. The composition comprises a bleaching agent comprising a high level of a aqueous hydrogen peroxide. The bleaching agent is derived from multiple components within the composition and comprises at least about 15% by weight of the total composition weight. The composition also comprises a bleaching agent stabilizer comprising from about 0.01% to about 1.00% by weight of the total composition weight.

  • Publication number: 20070043142
Abstract: A dental material using nano material that will serve as reinforcement and will enhance mechanical properties with minimal sacrifice in other properties including processability of a dental material. The dental material may be used as a filling, restorative, cement, liner, adhesive or primer. This is achieved by combining several polymerizable monomers and/or oligomers, a polymerization initiator, at least one hyperbranched additive and at least one of an electrospun nanofiber, an electrospun nanosphere or a hyperbranched macromolecule. The hyperbranched additive may be hyperbranched molecules, dendridic molecules (such as dendrimers). In a preferred embodiment a caged silica (such as POSS) is used for a caged macromolecule. The material may also include nanoclay or traditional composite fillers.

  • Patent number: 7097455
Abstract: An integral, one-piece silanated particle impregnated gutta percha core/cone technique employs a thin layer of a luting agent, such as glass ionomer cement with a machined gutta percha core/cone, precisely matches the preparation, thereby reducing leakage and achieving a hermetic seal. The hermetic seal is further enhanced by a mono-block bond that occurs between the silanated particles in the gutta percha and the appropriate chemical sealant. Optional cryogenic treatment of the gutta percha material changes its molecular weight, making it stiffer and conducive to forming an integral, one piece core/cone, without the need for a separate carrier core to install the tapered gutta percha core/cone within the root canal. Additionally, the tapered body of the core/cone may be reticulated in a slightly three dimensional texturized framework to increase surface area and therefore increase retention. Optional line demarcation indicia are also placed on the core/cone.

  • Publication number: 20030207057
Abstract: A metered dose inhaler having part or all of its internal surfaces coated two or more times with a polymer comprising one or more fluorocarbon polymers, optionally in combination with one or more non-fluorocarbon polymers, containing an inhalation drug or a physiologically acceptable salt thereof, optionally an excipient and a fluorocarbon propellant. Also, a method for coating all or part of internal surfaces of a metered dose inhaler can comprising applying a first coat comprising a one or more fluorocarbon polymers to all or part of the internal the surfaces of a metered dose inhaler can. Subsequently, heating the first coat of fluorocarbon polymer and then applying a second coat comprising one or more fluorocarbon polymer on top of the first coat of fluorocarbon polymer. The two coats of fluorocarbon polymer are then heated to give a metered dose inhaler can that is more efficient in dispensing consistent doses of aerosol formulations.
