  • Patent number: 11443603
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for the detection, following a trigger event, of a device that may be sending and/or receiving signals within a space associated with a wireless network. A wireless signal receiver may be activated and may identify the device by detecting transmissions from the device, such as WiFi, Bluetooth, cellular or other wireless transmissions. The wireless signal receiver may extract, without connecting the device to a local network, information from the transmission that may identify the device. The wireless signal receiver may send the information to an alarm monitor and may be placed in a dormant state.

  • Publication number: 20140174111
Abstract: A portable recovery unit for automatically filling a background tank of blended refrigerant includes a main tank for holding recovered refrigerant from a vehicle A/C system which has a first chemical composition, and an auxiliary tank for holding an auxiliary supply of fresh refrigerant which has a second refrigerant composition. The auxiliary tank is arranged in fluid communication with the main tank so that fluid can be transferred from the auxiliary tank to the main tank. An electronic controller controls the flow of fluid from the auxiliary tank to the main tank. A refrigerant identifier is coupled to the main tank to sample and analyze the refrigerant in the main tank in order to determine the chemical composition of the refrigerant in the main tank, so the refrigerant in the main tank can be purified to an acceptable level based on that analysis.

  • Patent number: 8434344
Abstract: A method of determining whether a scale in a fluid handling device needs to be calibrated includes weighing a storage tank of fluid a first time with a scale, transferring the fluid from the storage tank to an area of known volume, weighing the storage tank at a second time with the scale, after fluid has been moved to the area of known volume, determining the pressure of the fluid in the area of known volume with a pressure sensor, calculating a temperature of the fluid in the area of known volume with the determined pressure, calculating the weight of fluid in the area of known volume based on the calculated temperature, calculating the weight of fluid in the area of known volume based on the determined temperature and temperature, comparing a difference in weight of the storage tank between the first and second weighing times with the weight of the fluid in the area of known volume; and sending a first signal to a user indicating a calibration of the scale is not needed if the difference between the compar

  • Publication number: 20120122557
Abstract: A card reader may be configured for reading a bar code on a card, regardless of whether the bar code is on a first side of the card or a second side of the card. The card reader may be implemented in a wager gaming machine or in another context. If a card has a bar code printed on the first side and decorative material printed on the second side, the card reader may be configured to read the bar code regardless of the card's orientation. The bar code may be a two-dimensional bar code. A controller of the card reader may be configured for determining whether the bar code contains player tracking account information and/or other information regarding a person associated with the card.

  • Patent number: 7937957
Abstract: A method for using refrigerant to check for a leak in a refrigerant system is provided that establishing fluid communication between a refrigerant recovery unit and a refrigerant system. The refrigerant recovery unit passes a refrigerant through the refrigerant recovery unit, compresses the refrigerant utilizing the refrigerant recovery unit, and transfers the compressed refrigerant from the refrigerant recovery unit directly into the refrigerant system. Additional refrigerant is added into the refrigerant system until a desired system pressure is reached, and then the refrigerant system is checked for leaks.
