  • Patent number: 12280274
Abstract: A method of calibrating a monitoring system (10,14) is described in which a calibration phantom (70) is located with its center located approximately at the isocenter of a treatment room through which a treatment apparatus (16) is arranged to direct radiation, wherein the surface of the calibration phantom (70) closest to an image capture device (72) of the monitoring system (10,14) is inclined approximately 45° relative to the camera plane of an image capture device of the monitoring system. Images of the calibration phantom (70) are then captured using the image capture device (72) and the images are processed to generate a model of the imaged surface of the calibration phantom.

  • Publication number: 20250114118
Abstract: A tissue-removing catheter for removing tissue in a body lumen includes an elongate body and a tissue-removing element mounted on a distal end portion of the elongate body. The tissue-removing element is configured to remove the tissue as the tissue-removing element is rotated by the elongate body within the body lumen. An inner liner is received within the elongate body. The inner liner defines a guidewire lumen. The inner liner isolates an interior of the guidewire lumen from the elongate body and tissue-removing element such that rotational forces are not transferred from the elongate body and tissue-removing element to the interior of the guidewire lumen when the elongate body and tissue-removing element are rotated during removal of tissue from the body lumen.

  • Publication number: 20240216716
Abstract: Some embodiments are directed to an image director of a patient monitoring system to obtain calibration images of a calibration sheet or other calibration object at various orientations and locations. The images are then stored and processed to calculate camera parameters defining the location and orientation of the image detector and identifying internal characteristics of the image detector, and the information are stored. The patient monitoring system can be re-calibrated by using the image detector to obtain an additional image of a calibration sheet or calibration object. The additional image and the stored camera parameters are then used to detect any apparent change in the internal characteristics of the image detector (10)(S6-4).

  • Patent number: 11690645
Abstract: A method of removing tissue in a body lumen includes advancing a tissue-removing catheter over a guidewire in the body lumen to position a distal end of the catheter adjacent the tissue and a proximal end portion of the catheter outside of the body lumen. The catheter includes an elongate body, a tissue removing element mounted on a distal end portion of the elongate body, and an inner liner disposed within the elongate body. The inner liner defines a guidewire lumen in which the guidewire is disposed during the advancement of the catheter. The method further includes rotating the elongate body and tissue-removing element of the catheter to remove the tissue. Detecting wear of the inner liner caused by the elongate body contacting the inner liner during use.

  • Patent number: 11446053
Abstract: A tissue-removing catheter for removing tissue in a body lumen includes an elongate body having an axis and proximal and distal end portions spaced apart from one another along the axis. A turbine is fixed to the elongate body and is disposed at an intermediate position between the proximal and distal end portions of the elongate body. A rotatable tissue-removing element is at the distal end portion of the elongate body and is operatively coupled to the turbine such that the turbine imparts rotation of the tissue-removing element. The tissue-removing element removes the tissue from the body lumen as the tissue-removing element is rotated by the turbine.
