Patent number: 11446532Abstract: A stair and slide assembly includes a stair portion including a plurality of stairs, a slide portion including a slide with an entrance and an exit, and an assist bar positioned proximate the exit of the slide to assist a user with pivoting from the exit of the slide to the stair portion. The slide has a first portion extending substantially linearly from the entrance of the slide at an angle and a second portion extending from the first portion to the exit of the slide. The second portion transitions the slide from the angle of the first portion to substantially horizontal. The exit of the slide is configured to be positioned at a target height above a ground surface. The target height is between about 18 inches and about 30 inches.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 2020Date of Patent: September 20, 2022Assignee: ProStairs Fitness, LLCInventors: Richard Mullen, William Medeiros

Patent number: 11207020Abstract: In the present invention, a system and associated method is provided for monitoring fetal vital parameters. The system includes a base unit, a monitoring hub including a digital signal processor/controller and operably connected to the base unit by a single channel digital signal protocol cable, e.g., a USB cable, and a number of fetal monitoring sensors operably connected to the monitoring hub. The controller processes the signals from the sensors into a single USB protocol which can be sent along a single cable to the base unit. The USB cable allows power to be supplied to the hub in order to charge a battery used to operate the hub and the sensors connected to the hub when disconnected from the base unit to allow the patient using the hub to move freely about the base unit, with all sensor signals from the hub being wirelessly transmitted to the base unit.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2016Date of Patent: December 28, 2021Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventors: Steven Mitchell Falk, Serguei Kabakov, Daniel Williams Medeiros, Aimee Klussendorf

Patent number: 9028460Abstract: The present invention is a solution for continence problems. A supporting structure can be in the form of a modified jock strap or biker's shorts. It includes a male version and a unisex version. The male version comprises a urine-collecting bag having a top opening to receive the genitalia of the user, whereas the unisex version comprises a breathable pad configured to be positioned in a crotch area of the user. Both versions utilize micro channels for guiding urine away from the user.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2009Date of Patent: May 12, 2015Inventor: Lester William Medeiros

Patent number: 8108073Abstract: A method for controlling dosage of a reagent in a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system includes the step of providing the system with a plurality of reagent injection nozzles, each nozzle being configured and adapted to be independently calibrated during an SCR reaction when the system is in operation. The method further includes determining an influence coefficient for each injection nozzle for a catalyst independently of the other injection nozzles, and optimizing the flow of reagent from each injection nozzle to minimize a sum of deviation across a surface of the catalyst. A system performs selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and a machine readable medium contains program instructions to controlling dosage of a reagent in a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 2011Date of Patent: January 31, 2012Assignee: Babcock Power Environmental Inc.Inventors: Rajaram Jambhekar, Robert Lisauskas, William Medeiros, Clayton Erickson

Publication number: 20090270822Abstract: The present invention is a solution for continence problems. A supporting structure can be in the form of a modified jock strap or biker's shorts. It includes a male version (bag) and a unisex version (wicking pad). The male model can do alright with gravity alone. The unisex model uses wicking through micro channels to a trigger device in a small bag. This is made of highly porous hydrophilic material that allows flow to drain downward for disposal but not wet backwards It would be advantageous to provide a solution whereas the users would have a comfortable and efficient way to dispose of their urine without getting their garments wet without having to throw something away like absorption pad. It would also be convenient and cost effective to provide a way of using the same device without changing anything all day long.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 18, 2009Publication date: October 29, 2009Inventor: Lester William Medeiros
