    Abstract: A process for the preparation of a non-viable probiotic composition having anti-allergic (i.e. allergy preventive and/or anti-allergic in a therapeutic sense) properties, the process including the steps of (a) subjecting LGG to cultivation in a suitable culture medium using a batch process; (b) harvesting the culture supernatant at a late exponential phase of the cultivation step; (c) removing liquid contents from the culture supernatant so as to obtain the composition.
