  • Patent number: 11597065
Abstract: Pressure gauges according to this invention provide pressure measurement on all brands of crimping tools, including 6-Ton D3 tools. In particular, this design eliminates the need to remove the tool crimp head to measure the pressure of the crimping tool. Additionally, this design eliminates the need to install additional dedicated fixtures on the crimping tool to measure the ram pressure. This design incorporates a self-centering profile to avoid side-loading when mounting the pressure gauge in the crimping tool. The dial indicator on pressure gauges of this invention captures and holds the maximum pressure reading with the use of a simple manual lever. The lever can be easily reset for the next pressure reading. Pressure gauges according to various embodiments of this invention include dual piston pressure sensors. Additionally, pressure measurement is accomplished with a simple hydro mechanical manometer display.

  • Publication number: 20230019783
Abstract: An optical receiver comprises a monolithically integrated pin photodiode (PIN) and transimpedance amplifier (TIA). The TIA comprises InP heterojunction bipolar transistors (HBT) fabricated from a first plurality of layers of an epitaxial layer stack grown on a SI:InP substrate; the PIN is fabricated from a second plurality of layers of the epitaxial layer stack. The p-contact of the PIN is directly connected to the input of the TIA to reduce PIN capacitance CPIN. The TIA capacitance CTIA may be matched to CPIN. Device parameters comprising: a thickness of the absorption layer, window area, and an optional mirror thickness of the PIN; device capacitance CPIN+CTIA; and feedback resistance RF of the TIA; are optimized to performance specifications comprising a specified sensitivity and responsivity at an operational wavelength. This design approach enables cost-effective fabrication an integrated PIN-TIA, for applications such as a 1577 nm receiver for an ONU for 10G-PON.

  • Publication number: 20220207565
Abstract: Methods for in-vehicle contextual promotions are described herein. In a first method a driver receives an in-vehicle promotion (for either food or fuel) based on a time of day, their location, route, favorite items, favorite vendors, and nearby vendors. The driver taps the promotion and receives a list of favorite items. The driver makes a selection of the favorite items, makes a payment for the selected product using an e-wallet, and picks up the selected product. In a second method, the driver may receive an in-vehicle promotion, including a “remind me later” link. When the user taps on the link, they may then access the promotion at a later time on their mobile phone app outside of the vehicle. The user taps on the saved link and is redirected to a vendor's website. The user may make a purchase for a product at the vendor's website at this later time.
