  • Publication number: 20100145966
Abstract: Techniques and a graphical user interface for abstracting a request from a development environment to an object model of an object store are disclosed herein. A request for data is made by the development environment, and the request is abstracted to make in compatible with the object model (e.g., by negating properties related to bitness, versioning, etc.). The request is transmitted to a broker process that retrieves a method and/or data commands corresponding to the request. The broker process may also decode one or more method parameters of the request. If one or more method parameters are not compatible with the object model, an adapter may be loaded into the object model to make the object model compatible with the request. The broker process may also transmit the method, data commands, and/or request to the object model wherein the request is fulfilled by the object model.

  • Patent number: 7603625
Abstract: A technique for supporting a user of a first device coupled to a second device of a support agent. A current screen image of the first device is sent to the second device. The second device displays the current screen image of the first device. The agent device determines the position of an input icon to be displayed on the current screen image, and the position is sent to the first device. The first device displays an input icon on the current screen image on the first device based on the position. The second device also determines how the user should operate the input icon on the first device. Corresponding operation information is transferred to the first device.

  • Publication number: 20040181561
Abstract: A data file comprising a plurality of blocks of data may have two or more versions. The meaning of the data file is insensitive to the ordering of the blocks of data within the data file. Updates to the data file may be identified by providing each of said plurality of blocks of data with a first checksum and each of said versions of the data file with a second checksum of the said version of the data file as a whole. The second checksum of the first version of the data file is compared with the second checksum of the second version of the data file. If the comparison indicates that the second checksums of the first and second versions of the data file differ, then the first checksums of each of said plurality of blocks of data of the first and second versions of the data file are compared and an indication is provided of which of the plurality of blocks of data differs between the first and second versions of the data file.

  • Publication number: 20040169690
Abstract: Ammunition, such as shotshells used in waterfowl hunting, have indicia applied to substantially all of the external surface to reduce glare normally a problem in conventional ammunition. The indicia, such as a camouflage pattern, is applied either through the use of inkjet printing directly on the shotshell surface or through the application of a heat transfer sleeve to which the indicia has been previously applied. The process of applying the camouflage pattern may be incorporated into the manufacture of the ammunition or may be operable as a standalone process used for pre-manufactured ammunition.

  • Patent number: 4227776
Abstract: A turret device mounted on a housing is used to project a laser output beam and aim it in elevation and azimuth. The turret device includes a rotatable enclosure having an optical cavity for transmitting a laser beam therethrough and out a cutout to a target. Means are provided to operate the turret in azimuth and elevation. One control moves a turret platform to obtain an azimuth movement of the beam while the other moves a rotatable mirror to obtain an elevation movement of the beam. A laser device directs a laser beam from within a housing through the rotating part of the turret into the enclosure from which it follows the path set forth above.
