Patent number: 12403011Abstract: Shoulder joint implants are disclosed herein for use in shoulder reconstruction that are configured to facilitate the inclusion a central bone screw for augmented bone fixation. The implant can include a baseplate (or metaglene) configured to secure a glenosphere or other prosthetic component to the glenoid. To facilitate lateral or proximal insertion of a central bone screw through the implant, a throughbore defined along the central axis of the metaglene can be widened to accommodate the maximum diameter of the screw. To enable fixation of the glenosphere to the metaglene, a collet can be configured to engage the smaller diameter of a glenosphere coupling element and inserted into the central throughbore. The collet and the bone screw can be separate parts, thereby making insertion of the bone screw optional. Alternatively, the collet and bone screw can be integrated together to form a unitary construct.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2024Date of Patent: September 2, 2025Assignee: DePuy Ireland Unlimited CompanyInventors: Stephen J. Patent number: 11679389Abstract: A retainer assembly for securing a mantle to a mainshaft of a gyratory crusher. The retainer assembly includes a headnut and a burn ring that are joined to each other prior to installation. The headnut includes a first and a second series of bores that each extend though the annular headnut. A series of jacking bolts are installed in the second series of bores and a series of connector are installed in the first series of bores. The combination of the headnut and burn ring are installed on the mainshaft. Once in place, the connectors are removed and a series of cylinders are positioned in the first series of bores. The cylinders are pressurized to create a gap between the headnut and the burn ring. The series of jacking bolts are rotated to maintain the gap and one or more shims can be positioned in the gap. The cylinder are removed and a headnut cover is installed to protect the headnut. During removal of the headnut, the cylinders can be reinstalled and pressurized.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 2021Date of Patent: June 20, 2023Assignee: Metso Outotec USA Inc.Inventors: William Murphy, Lucas Steiner, Brian Meier, Scott Friedrichs

Publication number: 20220339257Abstract: This invention relates to methods of increasing the sensitivity of tumors to anti cancer therapies including antibody therapy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and therapies targeting cell signaling pathways such as the MAPK and PI3K pathways and receptor tyrosine kinases (e.g. EGFR). By increasing sensitivity of tumors to these agents, this invention will: (a)Prolong response in already responsive subjects; (b) Increase response rates by converting non-responsive patients into responsive patients; (c) Reverse treatment-induced resistance of tumors to anticancer therapy; and (d) Decrease treatment-associated toxicities by decreasing therapy dosages required for response. The invention also describes predictive tests, to identify patients most likely to respond to the combination treatments.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 17, 2020Publication date: October 27, 2022Inventors: Greg P.
