Publication number: 20240071623Abstract: A system that can receive non-clinical data related to an individual from one or more third party servers, and clinical data for that individual from one or more healthcare systems. The system can also pre-processes the non-clinical data and the clinical data, such as, for example, reduce the cardinality of the data and standardize the formatting of the data. The system can further project a propensity of the individual for developing at least one chronic disease by correlating the non-clinical data with the clinical data. Further, the system can identify, for each chronic disease, non-clinical factors that positively or negatively affect the propensity of the individual to develop that chronic disease, and generate a portal for display a projection for the individual to develop the chronic disease(s). At least a portion of the non-clinical risk factors can be identified by the system distilling information from secondary guidelines.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: James Richard Howard, William Ni

Patent number: 11662026Abstract: A seal assembly for preventing the flow of fluid includes a rotating component having a first sealing surface, a stationary component coaxial with the rotating component and having a second sealing surface with the second sealing surface configured to form a seal with the first sealing surface of the rotating component, and indents in one of the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface. The indents are configured to control a width of a gap between the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface to allow fluid to flow into the gap. At least two of the indents are at least partially aligned in the radial direction.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2021Date of Patent: May 30, 2023Assignee: Hamilton Sandstrand CorporationInventors: Weishun William Ni, Edward W. Goy, James Harder

Patent number: 11624360Abstract: A gear for a pump includes a gear body defining a root circle, and a plurality of gear teeth extending from the gear body radially outwardly of the root circle. Each of the plurality of gear teeth have a tip portion, a leading edge, a trailing edge, a circular thickness defined between the leading edge and the trailing edge, a first radially outwardly facing surface and a second radially outwardly facing surface. At least one of the first radially outwardly facing surface and the second radially outwardly facing surface includes a chamfered portion that extends from the leading edge toward the trailing edge across a portion of the circular thickness.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2020Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignee: HAMILTON SUNDSTRAND CORPORATIONInventors: Edward W. Goy, Weishun William Ni, John M. Kassel

Publication number: 20220372941Abstract: A fuel metering system includes a pump with an inlet and an outlet, a first flow path including a first valve fluidically connected to the outlet of the pump, and a second flow path including a second valve fluidically connected to the outlet of the pump, a third valve, and a fourth valve. An electrohydraulic servo valve in a first position hydraulically connects the inlet of the pump to the first, third, and fourth valves to close the first valve, open the third valve, open a first window of the fourth valve, and close a second window of the fourth valve. The electrohydraulic servo valve in a second position hydraulically connects the outlet of the pump to the first, third, and fourth valves to open the first valve, close the third valve, close the first window of the fourth valve, and open the second window of the fourth valve.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2021Publication date: November 24, 2022Inventors: Ryan Susca, Morgan O'Rorke, Matej Rutar, Todd Haugsjaahabink, Weishun William Ni, Benjamin T. Patent number: 9776728Abstract: A fuel system includes a fuel gathering system in fluid communication with a fuel storage container, and a fluid pump assembly in fluid communication with the fuel gathering system. The fluid pump assembly includes a main gear pump stage and a first flow attenuator. A main driven gear is meshed with a main drive gear in a main pump conduit, and a main pump bearing assembly rotatably supports the main drive gear and the main driven gear. The first flow attenuator is disposed around the main pump conduit, and includes a substantially polygonal fluid opening. Edges of the opening are substantially aligned with an undercut bearing portion on at least one of an inlet side and an outlet side of the main pump conduit to define a non-round fluid boundary.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2014Date of Patent: October 3, 2017Assignee: Hamilton Sundstrand CorporationInventor: Weishun William Ni
