  • Patent number: 5529306
Abstract: A golf swing training device which automatically allows any golfer to develop a perfect swing plane, while hitting golf balls, and with minimal instruction. The primary operative mechanism of the device is the maintaining of a substantially constant distance between the left pectoral muscle and the right forearm (assuming a right-handed golfer). • Patent number: 4960280
Abstract: The invention relates to a training device for improving a golfer's swing. More particularly, the invention relates to a training device for limiting the movement of both arms relative to the golfer's body. The device comprises a chest band and arm restraining bands that hold the golfer's arms close to the body and prevent their movement away from the body while at the same time permitting the movement of the arms across the body throughout the swing. Each arm band is connected to the chest band at two points, one of which is rearward of the arm, and the other of which is forward of the arm.

  • Patent number: 4892317
Abstract: A releasable golf swing training connector (A) is disclosed which includes a chest strap (10) for encircling a chest (12) of a golfer and an arm strap (14) for encircling an upper arm (13) of the golfer. A connector strap (18) connects the chest and arm straps to hold the arm close to the body and properly restrict it during the back and forward swings of a golf stroke. A releasable connector (B) forms a releasable connection between the chest and arm straps. Velcro connectors (C) provide a releasable connector which releases partially and produces a discernible audible signal when the swing deviates by a first amount and completely releases to disconnect the connection should the golfer's swing exceed still further the prescribed swing avoiding physical injury while teaching muscle memory to the golfer.
