  • Patent number: 11264740
Abstract: A battery post terminal assembly includes a conductive band and a clamp mechanism. The conductive band includes a first free end and a second free end. The conductive band defines an aperture for receiving a battery post of a battery. The clamp mechanism includes a wedge member that defines a recess between a first surface and a second surface thereof. The recess has an open end and a closed end that is narrower than the open end. The first surface is convex. The first free end and the second free end are positioned in the recess. The first free end is movable along the first surface toward the closed end to be moved by the first surface toward the second free end to tighten the conductive band around the battery post.

  • Patent number: 7606789
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for preserving electronic resources identified as search results in a system location, such as a system folder. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method comprises executing a search query on a data collection to produce at least one search result, the search query specifying at least one criterion, each of the at least one search results representing a resource which satisfies the at least one criterion; providing an input mechanism by means of which a user may select at least one resource for preservation; and executing, in response to the user's selection, a command to preserve the selected at least one resource in a system location.

  • Patent number: 7475280
Abstract: This presentation allows for two or more storage management servers to be in an active high availability (HA) state for the same set of storage devices and copy services relationships; rather than having a single server be in an active HA state and the other servers being in a standby HA state. This makes each HA server to be able to accept commands at any time so that they will not have to issue a takeover command to a standby server just to start issuing commands. This will also ensure that the data replication pairs will continue copying data until an event of an actual disaster; in which the active servers would then cause the data replication to be suspended so that a consistent set of data is secured on the secondary site.

  • Publication number: 20060021224
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for forming a valve assembly for a rack and pinion steering apparatus. A pinion having a bore formed therein, a torsion bar having an outer diameter, a valve sleeve, and an input shaft are provided. The input shaft has a bore and an elongated cavity formed therein. The input shaft has an outer diameter less than an inner diameter of the valve sleeve. The torsion bar is forced into the bore of the pinion to friction weld the torsion bar to the pinion. The valve sleeve is positioned over the torsion bar and pinion, and secured with the pinion. The torsion bar is positioned within the bore of the input shaft such that a first end of the torsion bar is positioned coaxially within the elongated cavity of the input shaft. A locking material is inserted into the elongated cavity to lock the torsion bar and the input shaft together.

  • Patent number: 5863154
Abstract: A ground rod installation device and method as shown for pressing ground rods into the earth using hydraulic drilling equipment. The device has a plunger mechanism attachable to a Kelly Bar of the hydraulic drilling equipment utilizing a removable pin, a first cylindrical telescoping member through which the plunger is slidably attached, and a second telescoping member through which the first telescoping member is slidably attached. The ground rod is inserted into the fully extended telescoping members, placed above the desired location and driven into the ground without pre-drilling, pre-placing holes and in one substantially continuous drive stroke.
