  • Publication number: 20180263222
Abstract: Described herein is an apparatus for dispensing a substance. The apparatus comprises a fan, a wind tunnel, a heating coil, a receptacle, and a container. The fan is adapted to create an air flow in a particular direction. The wind tunnel has a proximate end and a distal end, and is connected to the fan to receive the air flow in the proximate end and channel the air flow towards the distal end. The heating coil is disposed inside the wind tunnel configured to generate heat. The receptacle is to the wind tunnel. The receptacle has an intake hole, an access hole, a discharge hole, and a heating chamber. The heating chamber connects the intake hole, access hole, and the discharge hole. The container is disposed in the heating chamber and has an opening. The cover covers the access hole. The receptacle receives the air flow from the proximate end of the wind tunnel and channels the air flow from the intake hole around the container to the discharge hole.

  • Patent number: 6644973
Abstract: A system for reading training for improving a subject's reading speed and comprehension. The reader reads aloud into a microphone attached to an amplifier and headset. The amplifier filters out the low frequency sounds and emphasizes the high and mid-range frequency sounds as the sounds are directed to the reader's dominant ear, which allows the reader to listen attentively with his or her dominant ear, clarifying perception and speeding the listening process. The reader is taught reading protocol, such as emphasizing, pronunciation, articulation, breathing, pausing. The reader intermittently looks into a mirror placed strategically so that he or she can observe posture and lip movement and make adjustments to these reading protocol components. The reader repeats the reading aloud and feedback until reading speed and comprehension are improved to the desired level. The reading improvement training system (inclusive of training tools and method of using the tools) improves reading skills, e.g.

  • Publication number: 20030023641
Abstract: An authoring tool can be used by an author, who may or may not have programming experience, to create complex input forms for the Internet. The authoring tool provides visual components that permit an author to build both the layout and functionality of the input form without writing any programming code. The author can select an input field to be inserted in the input form from a list of input types. The author can then customize the visual layout and appearance of the input fields and can incorporate dynamic behavior into the input form by associating events, actions and error checking with each input field. The authoring tool also provides a preview frame that interactively shows the author the appearance of the input form, as the author is building the input form. Finally, once the author is satisfied with the input form that is being created, the author can use the authoring tool to generate a file or web page that is executable on the client side by any web browser.
