  • Patent number: 12698765
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a rocking piston compressor comprising a head plate having at least one inlet and silencer port, an exhaust and an exhaust port. The compressor may comprise valve plate coupled to the head plate and having a sound attenuation chamber and an exhaust chamber. The compressor may have at least one silencer selectably coupled to a head plate silencer port and disposed within the sound attenuation chamber. The compressor may also comprise an air tube having a first end selectably coupled to the head plate air tube port and a second end disposed within the valve plate exhaust chamber. The air tube may be configured to accelerate air flow from the second end toward the first end.

  • Publication number: 20050095161
Abstract: An improved rotary vane compressor includes an elongated housing having a main part and two ends. An inlet/outlet end plate member positioned at one end of the housing has an inlet port and an outlet port. The end plate member is one of a first type having ports constructed for tube-type connections and to receive a tube type conduit or a second type having an ports constructed for threaded type connections. An intermediate adapter member positioned between the housing and the end plate member, is secured to the housing and adapted to receive an end plate member of either the first type or the second type.

  • Publication number: 20050063853
Abstract: A rotary vane compressor having features for reducing sound emitted from the compressor during operation. The sound reduction features include and relate to specific components of the compressor. Specifically the features relate to (1) the compressor motor; (2) a non-vented motor housing and back or closure; (3) the inlet ring; (4) the bearing system; (5) the rotor and vane positioning and vane weight or mass; (6) the mass of the body within which the rotor and vane rotate; and (7) a shroud which surrounds the body which is solid and non-vented solid and may be formed of a laminated material having a sound dampening core layer.
