  • Patent number: 4326596
Abstract: An electronic weighing apparatus includes a switch mounted on a base surface thereof, actuated by an actuating member biased to support a portion of the base. When weight is applied to the apparatus, the actuating member is moved to a depressed position, thereby automatically energizing the apparatus. In addition, a tab is mounted to the base near the switch. Vertical forces can be applied to the tab to depress the actuating member without disturbing the zero position of the weighing apparatus.Furthermore, the apparatus includes an optical coded disc with a plurality of concentric code tracks. A light guide conducts light to a line on the disc which is parallel to but offset from a radius of the disc. Photosensors are positioned on the other side of the disc, opposed to the light guide.

  • Patent number: 4150482
Abstract: A modular cutter assembly for an electric dry shaver of the type wherein movable cutter assemblies are disposed in shearing relationship with a flexible comb assembly. Each of the cutter assemblies is easily removable or replaceable as a modular unit from the cutter drive shafts of the shaver head. The modular cutter assemblies are assembled by the insertion of alternating cutter blade element assemblies and cutter blade spacers within a cutter support structure with a predetermined interrelationship and orientation of the aforementioned subassembly parts to achieve a consistently and accurately disposed cutter system.

  • Patent number: 4133103
Abstract: A comb assembly for an electric dry shaver is provided with a perforated central comb panel and two end comb panels disposed adjacent the edges of the central comb panel and having long hair slots. The end panels and the central comb panels are separately fabricated from stock materials of different predetermined thicknesses and assembled to form an accurate and smoothly interfitting comb assembly. Thus, the thickness of the central comb panel is determined independent of the end comb panel thickness. The central comb panel, fabricated from a stock material of a uniformly thinner thickness than that of the end panels, requires no grinding in the fabrication of the comb and thus results in a more uniform thinner comb than obtained with grinding operations.

  • Patent number: 4085503
Abstract: Electric dry shaver having a shaving head and a trimmer for cutting long hair, the trimmer being equipped with adjustable means to control the height or length to which the trimmer may cut hair. Control means within the shaver are provided to adjust the height of the trimmer guard and to retain it in the selected position.

  • Patent number: 3967372
Abstract: An electric shaver having two spaced shaving heads with a long hair clipper or trimmer positioned therebetween with the trimmer being adjustable to a retracted position or to an extended position in which it is spaced from the shaving heads and is adaptable to trimming sideburns, moustaches and the like. The trimmer is slidably supported on a head frame which is detachably mounted with respect to a motor enclosing housing. The trimmer is spring biased into engagement with cam means carried by the housing and adapted to position the trimmer at various heights with respect to the shaving heads. The shaving heads include foil combs carried by the head frame and spring biased against cutters which are mounted on the housing and supported for reciprocation on friction reducing ball rollers. The motor drives the trimmer and shaving cutters by means of a double eccentric carried by the motor shaft and a pair of coaxially pivoted levers which oscillate in an out-of-phase relationship.
