A notification is transmitted, using the sudden event detection processor, over a network to an accident management hub that a sudden event has occurred. A prompt is transmitted over the network to a mobile device associated with an owner or operator of the vehicle, the prompt requesting that the owner or operator photograph a license plate of any other vehicle involved in the accident and record video of the accident scene. The requested image of the license plate and video of the accident scene is receiving from the mobile device.
