  • Patent number: 4165879
Abstract: This invention relates to a parlor game for simulating the sport of golf. The game includes an elongated handle for being grasped and swung by the player. A flexible line is frictionally coupled through an aperture in the handle for providing a centrifugal force indication representative of a forward distance as the player swings the handle. A direction indicator is provided for being struck by the handle, or the player's hands coupled thereto, during the swing for providing a direction indication. A game board is provided which represents a golf course including a tee-off point and a hole point. Markers are provided for representing the position of each player as the hole is played. A converter adapts the indication from the forward distance and the forward direction indicators to provide a distance vector for directing the movement of the markers generally according to the rules of the game of golf.

  • Patent number: 4092895
Abstract: A solid state electronic relay system for a pipe organ having at least one input register connected to one or more organ manuals, respectively, to receive parallel input signals therefrom, and respectively convert same into a time based serial digital signal wherein each note of the keyboard occupies a particular interval of time in the digital signal. The serialized signal of an input register propagates through a digital delay line at a predetermined clock frequency. Selected ones of the delayed digital signals provided thereby are tapped to derive octave and mutation pitch signals. Accessory circuits receive the serialized digital signals and using combinational and sequential digital techniques modify the digital signals to provide reiteration, pizzicato, sostenuto and the like effects. The tapped signals and modified signals are selectively combined with logical gates under the control of the organ "stops" to provide the unification and accessory functions.

  • Patent number: 4051998
Abstract: A digital electronic data system for use with a fluid dispenser which includes means for generating an electrical signal in response to each incremental quantity of fluid dispensed, the data system comprising manually setable register means for generating a static electrical signal representative of the unit price of the fluid being dispensed, computing means coupled to the dispenser signal generating means and the static unit price signal generating means for receiving the afore-mentioned signals and generating in response thereto signals representative of the quantity and cost of fluid dispensed. A data transfer means is connected to the computing means for receiving and accumulating static unit price, accumulated volume and price signals and transmitting the same serially through a signal transmitting medium.
