  • Patent number: 7600604
Abstract: A user-disposable member for placement and retention within the auditory anatomy, such as an ear canal. The user-disposable member includes a polymeric foam material, wherein the user-disposable member has a first portion having a peripheral outer surface having a first coefficient of friction, and a second portion having a peripheral outer surface having a second coefficient of friction different from the first coefficient of friction.

  • Publication number: 20080226114
Abstract: Adapters for use with sound devices and methods for making and using the same. An adapter may include an adapter body including a wall having a first surface and a second surface, and a projection extending from the wall. The adapter is generally configured to be attachable to a sound device such as an earbud or earphone. A sleeve configured to at least in part extend into the ear canal of a user during use may be attached to the projection. The adapter may additionally include one or more unobstructed orifices extending through the wall of the adapter between the first surface and the second surface. The one or more unobstructed orifices may allow leakage of acoustical energy from the adapter, thus modifying the level of sound energy at certain frequencies transmitted to the ear canal of a user.

  • Publication number: 20050072010
Abstract: A device which is attachable to the mast of a forklift for indicating to the forklift operator the tilt angle of the mast in a vertical plane centered on the forklift includes a pivotably supported weighted pendulum, and an elongated activating arm secured to the upper extremity of the pendulum. The activating arm operates a component that is slideably mounted to a base plate, and carries an indicating pointer. A cover member fits over the base plate, and contains a window which accommodates the pointer. Indicia on the cover member interact with the pointer to show the tilt angle of the mast.
