  • Patent number: 10032025
Abstract: An anti-malware application detects, stops, and quarantines ransomware. The anti-malware application monitors threads executing on a computing device and detects behaviors that conform to a predefined set of behaviors indicative of ransomware. Responsive to detecting these behaviors, indicators are stored to a log in a storage device. Each of the indicators in the log is associated with respective scores. A running score for each thread is generated by combining the respective scores of the indicators in the log. Responsive to determining that the running score exceeds a predefined threshold score, execution of the thread is terminated. The source ransomware file is then identified and quarantined.

  • Publication number: 20060278547
Abstract: A package for an elongate surgical device, such as a catheter, includes an elongate tube formed into a coil configuration with a first coil portion disposed adjacent to a second coil portion. A thermal weld bonds the coil portions in a fixed relationship and with a strength sufficient to prevent peeling the first coil portion from the second coil portion. The surgical device can then be loaded into the tube, pouched and sterilized for ultimate distribution. In an associated method, the tube is coiled on a turntable and moved relative to heating stations where the thermal bonds can be formed.

  • Patent number: 6358223
Abstract: A tampon applicator for at least partially separating a tampon and inserting the tampon into a body cavity is provided. The tampon applicator has a tampon holder tube having interior and exterior surfaces, a longitudinal axis, a hollow portion and an expulsion end dimensioned for insertion into the body cavity. The tampon holder tube has a feature for separating and spreading a tampon apart during expulsion of the tampon. A plunger may also be telescopically and slidably mounted in the tampon holder tube distal to the expulsion end and adapted to directionally expel the tampon from the tampon holder tube when a user expels the tampon from the tampon holder tube.

  • Patent number: 6270470
Abstract: A method for providing side-to-side coverage of a tampon within a female user's vaginal cavity is provided. By use of a tampon applicator designed to provide directional expulsion and suitable tampons for use in the tampon applicator, a female user may achieve side-to-side coverage of a tampon within her vaginal cavity. Such directional expulsion causes a suitable tampon to expand against the sides and/or walls of a female user's vaginal cavity.

  • Patent number: 4491998
Abstract: An abrasive scrubbing pad device combined with a wringer mop in which the scrubbing pad when not in use is automatically placed in a physical position which does not interfere with the normal mop function of the mop by an automatic pivoting action brought into operation by actuation of the crank handle of the wringer mop. When the crank handle of the wringer mop is moved to the position where the mop head is functional for mopping purposes, the scrubber pad is pivoted out of the way, and when the actuating handle is operated to retract the mop head between the wringer rollers during a squeeze-out operation, the scrubber pad is pivoted into its operating position. The scrubber pad may be incorporated into the mop when originally asssembled or may be added to the mop at a later time. The scrubber pad structure is formed so that the scrubber pad itself may be replaced in the support structure when the pad has been rendered no longer useful by virtue of wear.
