  • Publication number: 20240108324
Abstract: Disclosed is a soft tissue engagement device. The soft tissue engagement device includes a substantially rigid elongate body extending from a first end to a second end. The elongate body is configured to be inserted at least partially within the soft tissue, transverse to a load-bearing direction of the tissue. The elongate body is further configured to engage sutures attached to underlying suture-anchors secured to a bone, thereby to draw the soft tissue onto the bone. Also disclosed is a method for attaching soft tissue to a bone.

  • Patent number: 9889964
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a cover, a method of covering, and a cover system for shipments of products transported by air with ULDs. The cover system can be adapted to any skid such as wooden or plastic pallets used for smaller loads used in air transport or any other mode of transportation. The cover system can include one or multiple parts. Each part of the cover system can be made of one or more layers. Each layer can be made of a single material or a combination of different materials. Different parts of the cover can be made of different materials or different combination of materials. The cover system provides thermal protection to temperature-sensitive products in or on the ULD. The cover system maintains the proper relative humidity level and gas concentrations for horticultural product loads. The cover system decreases the amount of water vapor released in the cargo holds.

  • Patent number: 8580369
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a cover, a method of covering, and a cover system to be used with shipments of products transported by air with ULDs. The cover system provides thermal protection to temperature-sensitive products in or on the ULD. The cover system maintains the proper relative humidity level and gas concentrations (oxygen, carbon dioxide and ethylene) for horticultural product loads. The cover system can also have antimicrobial properties. In addition, the cover system decreases the amount of water vapor released in the cargo holds which is known to affect the reliability of the aircraft smoke detection system and to cause false fire alarms.

  • Patent number: 8499533
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a cover, a method of covering, and a cover system to be used with shipments of products transported by air with ULDs. The dimensions of the cover system can vary depending on the ULD they are designed to be used with. The cover system can also be adapted to any individual skid such as wooden or plastic pallets used for smaller loads used in air transport or any other mode of transportation. The cover system can include one or multiple parts that wrap the shipment. Each part of the cover system can be made of one or more layers. Each layer can be made of a single material or a combination of different materials, and different layers can incorporate different materials. The different parts of the cover can be made of different materials or different combination of materials. In specific embodiments, materials used for the cover system are Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) friendly.

  • Publication number: 20050135023
Abstract: A digital power control device implemented on an integrated circuit includes analog to digital conversion circuitry configured to generate a digital signal from a received analog signal regulator, circuitry connectively coupled to the analog to digital conversion circuitry, the regulator circuitry configured to receive the digital signal and generate a digital duty cycle information signal, a plurality of pulse width modulation signal generators, each pulse width modulation signal generator configured to receive the digital duty cycle information signal and generate a high pulse width modulation signal and a low pulse width modulation signal, and control circuitry connectively coupled to and configured to control the plurality of pulse width modulation signal generators. The power controller processes digital signals to generate multiple PWM signals through a vertical integration of power controller modules. The power controller is designed to programmable and flexible.

  • Patent number: 5978195
Abstract: A fault protection arrangement for protecting power conversion circuits, for example switch mode power supplies and the like, from overcurrent and short circuit faults. The fault protection arrangement includes multiple fault protection features, for example soft-start delay, fault delay and automatic reset, with the timing of each of these three features capable of being set independently of the other two while minimizing integrated circuit (IC) pin count and also minimizing the number of external components required for programming the timing of these features. The fault protection circuit may be used to advantage with any power conversion regulator topology.
