Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically removing and replacing outdated compute resources in a cluster. The systems and methods include a configurable monitoring system that is configured to detect outdated compute resources and trigger a cycling process to automatically replace the detected outdated compute resources with new compute resources. The disclosed systems and methods safely rotate a group of compute resources by identifying and detaching outdated compute resources, waiting until the outdated compute resources have been drained of pending jobs scheduled on these resources, waiting until replacement compute resources have started and then cordoning, draining, deleting and terminating the outdated compute resources.

Abstract: A virtual machine deployment system includes a plurality of processing subsystems, and at least one multi-endpoint adapter device including a plurality of endpoint subsystems. A plurality of communication couplings couple each of the plurality of endpoint subsystems to at least one of the plurality of processing subsystems in order to provide a respective subset of available communication resources to each of the plurality of processing subsystems. A virtual machine deployment engine receives an instruction to deploy a virtual machine, and determines at least one communication resource requirement for the virtual machine. The virtual machine deployment engine then identifies a first processing subsystem that is included in the plurality of processing subsystems and that is provided a first subset of the available communication resources that satisfies the at least one communication resource requirement for the virtual machine, and deploys the virtual machine on the first processing subsystem.

Abstract: A composed system manager for managing operation of composed information handling systems includes storage for storing telemetry models for the composed information handling systems and a telemetry manager. The telemetry manager makes a determination that a composed information handling system of the composed information handling systems has been instantiated; in response to the determination, identifies resource set components allocated to the composed information handling system; generates a telemetry model of the telemetry models for the composed information handling system based on the resource set components; and configures the resource set components based on the telemetry model to aggregate operation data generated by the resource set components.

Abstract: A system control processor manager uses composed information handling systems that utilize resource sets of information handling systems and an infrastructure manager. The infrastructure manager obtains a composition request for a composed information handling system; allocates a portion of resource sets to the composed information handling system using a telemetry data map; makes a determination that at least one of the portion of the allocated resource sets is hosted by an information handling system that does not include a physical system control processor; and in response to the determination: provides the information handling system with access to a system control processor without adding any physical system control processors to the information handling system; and directs access requests, by entities hosted by the information handling system and directed to the portion of the allocated resource sets, through the system control processor.

Abstract: An information handling system for obtaining composed information handling systems includes resource set components and a system control processor. The system control processor makes an identification, based on monitoring of a resource set component of the resource set components, of an operation event; in response to the identification: makes a determination that the operation event is not immediately remediable based on the monitoring of the resource set component; in response to the determination: modifies the monitoring of the resource set component to obtain refined operation data for the resource set component; and performs an action set, based on the refined operation data, to modify operation of the resource set component.

Abstract: A graph-based data flow control system includes a control plane system coupled to SCP subsystems. The control plane system identifies a workload, and identifies service(s) on the SCP subsystems for manipulting/exchanging data to perform the workload. The control plane system generates a respective SCP-local data flow control graph for each SCP subsystem that defines how their service(s) will manipulate/exchange data within that SCP subsystem, and generates inter-SCP data flow control graph(s) that define how service(s) provided by at least one SCP subsystem will manipulate/exchange data with service(s) provided by at least one other SCP subsystem. The control plane system then transmits each respective SCP-local data flow control graph to each of the SCP subsystems, and the inter-SCP data flow control graph(s) to at least one SCP subsystem, for use by the SCP subsystems in causing their service(s) to manipulate/exchange data to perform the workload.

Abstract: A live migration/high availability system includes a first computing system having a first SCP subsystem coupled to first computing system components and a first hypervisor subsystem that provides a first virtual machine. Each time the first SCP subsystem receives snapshot commands from the hypervisor subsystem, it retrieves respective SCP component state information that was not retrieved in response to a previous snapshot command from each first SCP component included in the first SCP subsystem, and uses the respective SCP component state information to generate a respective SCP subsystem snapshot based on that snapshot command. The first SCP subsystem then transmits the SCP subsystem snapshots to a second SCP subsystem in a second computing system, and the second SCP subsystem uses the SCP subsystem snapshots to allow a second hypervisor subsystem on the second computing system to provide a second virtual machine that operates the same as the first virtual machine.
