  • Patent number: 8382188
Abstract: The connection of a vehicle fuel fill system access door to an access door hinge includes exposed guide members on the access door and the hinge to assist an installer in properly positioning and moving the access door relative to the hinge. Spacing structures between the access door and the access door hinge have a variable relationship for accommodating part variations. An audible sound is generated as the door is connected to indicate final positioning of the door on the hinge.

  • Publication number: 20120316481
Abstract: The present invention relates to a support for a body part including a compression device in combination with a lower leg protection system. The compression device can be integral with the outer support at a position received over the lower leg. One or more valves can extend from a compression bladder for attachment to a pneumatic device. Inflation of the compression bladder positioner adjacent the lower leg also displaces air in the outer support toward the foot which causes simultaneous massaging of the foot. The pneumatic device can be adjusted to provide either sequential or intermittent therapies.

  • Publication number: 20120311787
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for customization of flow characteristics of a support using permanent and controlled evacuation of interstitial gas during the manufacturing process. The flow characteristics can be customized to provide a stiffer or less stiff support by a comparative degree. The flow characteristics can be permanently changed. The support includes a bladder filled with a fluidized particulate material. The medium of the fluidized particulate material includes interstitial spaces. A predetermined amount of gas can be removed to provide a support having a desired specific support characteristic.

  • Publication number: 20120311781
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for sacral and trochanteric support and off-loading. The system provides a ultra low pressure plenum and a positioner. The patient body size and size and corresponding surface area of the positioner control the amount of gas which is displaced evenly against the walls of the ultra low pressure plenum to allow the combination of the ultra low pressure plenum and the positioner to slightly lift a patient from a bed surface, thereby offloading the sacrum and trochanter.

  • Publication number: 20120217240
Abstract: A capless refueling system is provided which utilizes snap-in attachment of a multi-stage valve assembly within a fuel pipe. The valve assembly includes a lower body portion and a cover independent from the lower body portion. The lower body portion and the cover are configured to be lockingly adjoined to one another. The cover is adapted to be adjoined to the fuel pipe. The system is sealed at a position above the primary shutoff valve thereby eliminating the need for a spring pin support bracket.

  • Patent number: 7527307
Abstract: A door handle assembly includes a handle pivot housing and a main handle rotatably or otherwise pivotally secured within the handle pivot housing. The handle pivot housing includes handle engaging-walls defining a handle pivot cavity therebetween. At least one of the handle-engaging walls includes an integrally formed boss extending into the handle pivot cavity. The main handle includes an arm integrally formed with a pivot joint defining a pivot axis, and a counterweight. The pivot joint rotatably or otherwise pivotally secures to the boss. The counterweight and the arm are positioned on opposite sides of the pivot axis. The main handle may be configured to receive and retain a plurality of caps, which may be formed of a different material than said main handle. Each of the caps may differ in at least one of size, shape, structure, material, texture, and color.

  • Publication number: 20070083995
Abstract: The present invention provides a fluidized positioning system including an inner bladder formed of a medium that has no memory or substantially no memory. An outer bladder is placed adjacent to or coupled to the inner bladder. The outer bladder is partially filled with a composition. The composition can be beads, such as polystyrene beads, or beads made of a similar medium. A valve extending from the outer bladder permits the evacuation of all or some of the air from the outer bladder which causes the outer bladder to be reduced in size due to loss of air between the beads and adjusts the rigidity of the outer bladder to allow the outer bladder to form fit the inner bladder around whatever body extremity it is being used on.
