  • Patent number: 10539404
Abstract: A blast containment system for trash cans includes a liquid-impervious flexible bag having a sealed bottom positioned at a base of a trash can, and an unsealed top positioned and retained at a top periphery of the trash can. A ring-shaped boot is positioned at the sealed bottom of the flexible bag. A rigid container has a closed bottom press-fit into a central opening of the boot. The rigid container extends from its closed bottom to an open top adapted to be approximately aligned with the top periphery of the trash can. An annular volume is defined between the rigid container the flexible bag. The rigid container has side walls that include ballistic materials. A liquid fills the annular volume.

  • Publication number: 20070243419
Abstract: Magnetic recording tapes include a substrate defining a front face, a back face, a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and a width between the first and second sides. The front face and first side define a first corner and the back face and first side define a second corner. One tape edge profile is typified by the first side not extending beyond the first and second corners, respectively. Another profile is typified by an Edge Abrasivity Depth Factor (EADF) from about 0 ?m to about 0.8 ?m. Yet another profile is typified by an Edge Abrasivity Volume Factor (EAVF) of about 4,800 ?m3 or less.

  • Publication number: 20070242331
Abstract: A method for manufacturing magnetic recording tape includes applying a front coat including a magnetic component to a substrate to provide a coated substrate. The coated substrate defines a first face and an opposing, second face, the first face extending between a first corner and an opposing, second corner, and the second face extending between a third corner and an opposing, fourth corner. An abrasive surface is moved against the first corner of the coated substrate to abrasively remove a volume of material from the first corner. In particular, the abrasive surface is angularly offset at a substantially non-orthogonal angle from the first face of the coated substrate.

  • Patent number: 7094014
Abstract: An adjustable latching device for tying down a load includes a plurality of elongated rails provided with a slot extending along a length thereof and an elongated and flexible fastening member extendable along a top portion of the load. The device further includes a mechanism for selectively tightening the fastening member so that an operator may adjust a tension of the fastening member from a remote location. An elongated and rigid bar is connected to the tightening mechanism for assisting in maintaining the fastening member at a stable position. Such a fastening member has opposed end portions operably connected to the tightening mechanism and removably attachable to an opposed side of the truck respectively.
