  • Publication number: 20220023989
Abstract: A tool for use with a jigsaw adapted to translate a cutting blade held in a blade spindle in a forward direction has a rigid metal block with a vertical axis presenting a vertically oriented surface in the forward direction, and a connector shank having width and thickness of a jigsaw blade, a forward edge and a T-shank upper end adapted to engage the blade spindle. The connector shank is welded to the rigid block such that with the T-shank end of the connector shank engaged in the blade spindle, the vertically oriented surface of the rigid metal block is presented in the forward direction.

  • Patent number: 6312039
Abstract: An accelerator block for supporting a driver's foot and leg in application to an accelerator pedal in an ergonomically advantageous position has a body with a height, fastened to a floor before the accelerator pedal. The drivers foot rests by the heel on the body, allowing a more obtuse angle between the foot and the leg than would otherwise attain. In some cases a radiused shoulder is provided for the heel, to prevent the heel from slipping back away from the accelerator pedal.

  • Patent number: 5894776
Abstract: A combination tablesaw top and mitre bar is provided which eliminates the play encountered in previous systems. In addition the manufacturing tolerances are much relaxed, leading to reduced cost and little if no operator adjustment. In a preferred embodiment, the tablesaw has a flat top with a groove therein extending substantially across the top, the groove having a top and a bottom, wherein the groove has a cross-section which is wider at the top than at a point below the top. The mitre bar for use with the tablesaw has a top and a bottom, and a cross-section such that the top of the mitre bar is larger in dimension than the lateral dimension of the bottom of the mitre bar, but the top of the mitre bar is smaller in dimension than the top of the tablesaw groove. This relationship between the groove and the mitre bar is provided such that the mitre bar will sit down into the groove without extending above the tablesaw top. Several preferred embodiments are described.

  • Patent number: 5269356
Abstract: A system for constructing mitered corners on a table saw having a rotatable adjustable miter guide slidable in a groove on either side of a saw blade comprises a presentation device having two surfaces meeting at a fixed angle. Any error in setting the angle of the miter device is canceled by placing the presentation device between the first piece to be cut and the miter guide while cutting the first piece, then moving the miter guide to the opposite groove without resetting the miter angle and reversing the presentation device between the second piece to be cut and the miter guide. In a preferred embodiment the presentation device has an engagement mechanism for engaging the miter guide and an adjustable slide stop for determining the cut length of a piece of material.

  • Patent number: 4699342
Abstract: A stand is used for holding a box of liquid, the liquid to be dispensed from a spigot located near the bottom of the box. The stand includes a base element having a lower portion configured for sitting on a substantially flat surface and having a top portion attached to the upper portion for holding the box at a height above the flat surface sufficient for dispensing the liquid from the spigot into a drinking glass sitting on the flat surface. Also included is a constraint element attached to the top portion to constrain lateral motion of the box when the box is placed on the top portion. In general, the constraint element includes a lip attached to the top portion and extends upward from the top portion. A number of embodiments are shown and described.
