  • Publication number: 20220321623
Abstract: A cloud computing platform includes a streamer farm comprising streamers, a load balancer, and a command service. The command service can be configured to receive a request from a consumer application for streaming data from a producer device configured to provide streaming data, relay the request to the producer device, receive a response from the producer device including an address of at least one streamer the load balancer selects, and relay the address to the consumer application to enable the consumer application to retrieve the requested streaming data. A method of establishing a producer/consumer session in a cloud computing platform includes receiving a request from a consumer application for streaming data, communicating with a producer to provide the streaming data to a streamer of a streamer farm selected by a load balancer, receiving and address of the streamer, and providing the address to the consumer application.

  • Patent number: 11425199
Abstract: A sensor device includes processing circuitry configured to output, at a first bandwidth, first bandwidth data to a hub device using a first wireless connection configured for a first wireless protocol. In response to determining that the sensor device has second bandwidth data to output to the hub device at a second bandwidth, the processing circuitry is configured to output a second wireless connection request to the hub device using the first wireless connection. In response to the hub device outputting information for establishing a second wireless connection with the sensor device, the processing circuitry is configured to establish the second wireless connection for a second wireless protocol different from the first wireless protocol. The processing circuitry is configured to output, at the second bandwidth, the second bandwidth data to the hub device using the second wireless connection. The second bandwidth is greater than the first bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 9601002
Abstract: A regional security system includes a control panel that can receive one or more delay parameters associated with a type of sensor or detector or a portion of a region being monitored. The delay parameters can be stored in a programmable storage unit. When an alarm indicator has been received from one of the sensors or detectors, an alarm indicating message and an associated programmed and pre-stored delay can be forwarded to a central station. If the system is disarmed before the delay interval has terminated, then a cancel message can be sent to the central station.

  • Patent number: 9538014
Abstract: The inventive method for remotely maintaining and controlling a security system comprises using a device to communicate using voice capable technology with an IVR in a host facility, selecting an action from a plurality of actions provided by the IVR, performing the action on the security system, and receiving a notification of performance of the action, wherein the host facility contacts the security system to perform the action. In one embodiment, the actions can control and/or monitor the security system. The method can further comprise creating an account with an identification code on the host facility and validating the code on the IVR. The method can also include translating the selected action into a command, sending a message to a GSM device in the security system, and, in response to the message, establishing a GPRS session between the security system and the host facility, wherein the session performs the command.

  • Patent number: 9300707
Abstract: A social networking site that communicates with a plurality of human users can also communicate with a plurality of non-human users. Information from one of the non-human users can be automatically received at the site and evaluated. Commands can be automatically transmitted to another of the non-human users in response to the evaluation. A human readable indicator can be posted at a page of the site.
