  • Patent number: 4795282
Abstract: Paper guide mechanism is provided for a multi-function printer capable of printing on journal tapes, receipts and single or multi-sheet slips or forms. The printer has a movable slip stop for limiting movement of a slip which is inserted into the printer. The paper guide mechanism is attached to or integral with the slip stop, and is designed to restrain the path of movement of the slip and other record media to prevent interference by said record media with the movable printhead of the printer which moves in a reciprocating path which is perpendicular to the paths of movement of the record media.

  • Patent number: 4194097
Abstract: There is disclosed a membrane-type keyboard comprising a support member, a pair of spaced-apart sheets of flexible insulating material having designated key portions positioned adjacent to and spaced from said support member and a pair of electrical conductors each attached to adjacent inner surfaces of said key portions. The depression of a key portion of the top sheet forces the adjacent electrical conductors into contact. Further depression of the key portion of the top sheet moves both electrical conductors and the key portions of the spaced-apart sheets a distance sufficient to provide a positive degree of tactile feedback to the operator.

  • Patent number: 4020328
Abstract: A low cost auxiliary keyboard is disclosed which is mounted on the keyboard of a data terminal device comprising a cover member having an array of auxiliary control keys which overlie and engage associated control keys on the keyboard of the data terminal device. Sealing means are mounted in the edge of the cover member preventing liquids from entering the terminal keyboard. The auxiliary control keys are constructed to provide a sealing environment on the cover member. A shroud secured to the cover member contains any liquid spilled on the auxiliary keyboard. An opening in the shroud drains the liquid from the shroud and away from the auxiliary keyboard. Means are provided to releasably secure the cover member to the terminal keyboard to allow the interchanging of auxiliary keyboards to meet changing business conditions.
