  • Patent number: 11991277
Abstract: Aspects include a cryptographic hardware security module having a secure embedded heat pipe and methods for assembling the same. The cryptographic hardware security module can include a printed circuit board having one or more components. The cryptographic hardware security module can further include an encapsulation structure having a top can and a bottom can. The top can is fixed to a first surface of the printed circuit board and the bottom can is fixed to second surface of the printed circuit board opposite the first surface. A heat pipe is positioned between the top can and the component. The heat pipe includes two or more 180-degree bends. A portion of the heat pipe extends beyond a secure region of the encapsulation structure.

  • Publication number: 20160026932
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes, in one aspect, obtaining data specifying one or more expressions for a problem to be solved and an action that changes a state of the problem when applied to the one or more expressions, identifying one or more features of the one or more expressions, identifying a precondition for applying the action that changes the state of the problem, identifying a sequence of operator functions, and generating a production rule based on the identified one or more features, the identified precondition, and the identified operator function.

  • Patent number: 5276878
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for efficiently managing task memory in a multi-tasking data processing system having a processor for processing multiple tasks, task memory associated with each task, main system memory and multiple data records stored within direct access storage. A data record is copied from direct access storage into a buffer in main system memory in response to an access of that data record by a particular task. A buffer within that task's virtual memory is then mapped to the data record and a write protect bit is associated with the task memory buffer. Thereafter, any attempt to store data into the buffer will temporarily halt processing of the task until a copy of the data record is written to a second buffer. Task processing is then resumed, after modifying the task's page table to reference the second buffer, and the task is then permitted to store data within the second buffer.

  • Patent number: 4594517
Abstract: The loss of an AC supply voltage is detected by sensing the amplitude of the AC voltage relative to the reference potential about which it periodically goes positive and negative. Whenever the amplitude of the signal is below a given threshold, a sub-threshold signal is produced and its duration is sensed. If its duration is shorter than a predetermined sampling period, the sub-threshold signal is treated as a normally occurring signal and is filtered out of the system. If its duration exceeds the predetermined sampling period, it indicates that the AC voltage has remained "low" for too long a period of time, and an error signal is generated.
