  • Patent number: 7032941
Abstract: A tool includes different tool heads, and an angularly adjustable handle. The angular adjustability allows better ergonomic body posture during use, thus reducing stress and injury, and also allows multiple functions for each tool. The handle comfortably receives a user's hand, with the user's thumb or forefinger located at a release button. The release button is spring-biased and includes teeth that inter-engage with teeth on the tool head to latchingly hold a selected angular position. A resilient cover encases the handle and the release button, preventing dirt from entering the button area to prevent jamming. The covering slips onto the handle and includes an annular lip that stretches over an end surface to retain the covering on the handle. The cultivator includes tines that, by adjusting an angle of the handle, extend in a direction parallel the handle but offset therefrom, or that extend at an angle to the handle.

  • Patent number: 6823999
Abstract: A storage organizer includes a U-shaped bent-wire storage member pivotally mounted on a plate-like base to a wall or stud. The base has a pair of arcuately-shaped bands that define a pocket against the wall, and the bent-wire storage member has a pair of aligned straight sections that rotatably engage the pocket, permitting movement of prongs of the storage member between an upright storage position and an outward use position. The bent-wire storage member further includes an offset bent section between the straight sections that abuts forwardly-bent material between the bands to form a stop to hold the bent-wire storage member in the use position.

  • Patent number: 6719153
Abstract: A storage rack for compactly holding elongated items such as garden tools, brooms, and the like. The rack is preferably one piece and uses the depth out away from the wall to hold multiple items. In one embodiment, the rack has an upper leg and a lower leg extending from the surface on which it is supported so as to support the items at two places to hold them securely in place. A second embodiment includes only one leg extending from the vertical surface on which it is supported. The slots in the one leg rack are shaped so as to support items securely. Both embodiments easily receive and release the items individually without having to remove any of the other items.

  • Publication number: 20030029820
Abstract: A novel approach for storage organizers is shown whereby a storage organizer is optimized to be installed in between exposed studs, or alternatively, onto a flat wall surface, or a pegboard surface. The embodiment of the present invention is compatible with all three modes of installation. Additionally, another embodiment of a storage organizer invention is shown whereby two components are used to form a pronged storage organizer that is mountable onto a wall or exposed stud. The alternate embodiment discloses the usage of a specially formed set of pronged arms and connecting body that compatibly fold up when not in use, and which are conveniently deployed to an open position when desired.

  • Patent number: 6089383
Abstract: A multiple use storage shelf for efficiently organizing and storing a variety of different sized items such as balls, ranging from golf balls to basketballs, and containers, ranging from a small box of nails to a larger paint can. The shelf, being of a one-piece construction; includes a first shelf supporting area located at the rearward portion of the shelf for supporting larger and heavier items and a reduced front area for supporting smaller items. The rear and front shelf areas are located at sufficiently different horizontal planes.

  • Patent number: 6073942
Abstract: A dual cart assembly is provided which comprises a first cart having a frame defining a void and a second cart configured to nest within the void of the first cart. The first cart and the second cart are removably connected to each other at a joint when the second cart is nested within the void which permits limited articulation between the first and second carts so that the first and second carts can be moved as a unit facilitated by the limited articulation of the joint. Further, the first and second carts can be selectively separated for use.

  • Patent number: 6041947
Abstract: A storage rack for compactly holding elongated items such as garden tools and the like. The rack is preferably one piece and uses the depth out away from the wall to hold multiple items. It preferably supports the items at two places to hold them securely in place. However, the recesses in one piece are shaped so that support at one place is adequate. It easily receives and releases the items individually.

  • Patent number: 6019232
Abstract: A bracket and method for storing skates in which the bracket includes a cantilevered flange or leg supported on a vertical surface by an attachment element. The cantilevered leg includes at least one slot that receives the downwardly extending support for the running surfaces of the skate, the running surfaces being rollers of an in-line skate, rollers of a roller skate or the ice blade of an ice skate. The boot of the skate rests on the cantilevered leg on each side of the slot. Preferably the cantilevered leg extends upwardly at an angle from the surface on which the bracket is supported.

  • Patent number: 5815877
Abstract: A compact, self-cleaning brush having minimal number of components and being easier to assemble which makes the design more cost effective. The bristles of the brush are mounted between a base and a sliding actuating member which are constructed so that as the sliding member is moved along the base, the bristle components are extended and spread so as to be fanned out.

  • Patent number: 5762213
Abstract: An adjustable storage system which provides the flexibility to allow customization to fit individual and changing needs. The system is designed to be able to divide the provided storage space into smaller modules of a given size to expand the variety of storage options through use of application specific storage components. A divider panel is mounted to a conventional height-adjustable shelving system which creates additional modular spaces in the shelving system. A removably-mounted shelf is mounted to support members on vertical panels in the shelving system to further compartmentalize the storage system. The shelf can be mounted in multiple positions including both a horizontal and various inclined positions. Additional embodiments disclose a drawer-type tray, and other item-specific storage units, which are slidable between a retracted and an extended position.

  • Patent number: 5415187
Abstract: Dental filament dispenser is a unique plastic molded unit formed by a housing, a retainer means, and a cover. A filament cut-off element is mounted on the cover and provides a unique way for facilitating the easy grasping of the filament and also completely concealing the filament inside the housing when the cover is closed thereby covering the end of the filament to be grasped. The dental filament dispenser is formed of either one piece or two pieces. The one piece includes the housing, retainer means, and cover molded in one piece. The two pieces include the housing separately molded and the divider member and cover molded in one piece.

  • Patent number: 5333341
Abstract: A combination of a lint roller and encasement therefore in which two clam shell elements are pivotally connected together at one of their ends. One of the elements is a holder for a lint roller and the other is a cover/handle which when pivoted closed encloses the lint roller and when pivoted open serves as a handle. The two elements are each one-piece molded parts. The handle/cover element includes side sections which pivotally collapse to form a smaller and more comfortable handle in the opened use position. The holder element includes flanges extending from the end walls and between which the adhesive roller is rotatably mounted. The flanges are preferably arcuate in shape and have slanted edges providing a cam to spread the collapsed sections of the handle/cover to allow the handle/cover to fit over the roller and protect it.

  • Patent number: 4987633
Abstract: A compact portable brush having a handle which is collapsed to reduce the size of the brush when carried whereby the handle extending from the housing for the brush bristles is interconnected with the bristle support means to cause the bristles to be retracted into the housing when the handle is collapsed in the compact, carry position. In the preferred embodiment, the bristles are supported on a bristle support member which when actuated from retracted to extended position, or vice versa, is moved along a path inclined to the longitudinal axis of the housing whereby the bristles in the retracted position are caused to be arranged at an angle inside the housing, such angle being accommodated by a living hinge connection between the bristle support and the bristles.

The two elements are each one-piece molded parts. The holder element includes a flexible flange extending from the end walls and between which the adhesive roller is rotatably mounted. The flanges preferably are circular in shape with protrusions extending therefrom having a diameter slightly less than the openings in the end of the cylindrical lint roller. The adjacent end walls of the two elements are inclined at each other so that the cover/handle when fully open extends at an angle from the axis of the roller providing space between the handle and applied surface when the roller is used on a flat surface.
