Abstract: A rotary cutter blade for use in an unfluted constant diameter bowl of a motor driven food processor with a rotatable hub mounted on a vertically oriented drive shaft where the blade comprises a pair of generally parallel straight razor blade-type cutters secured to and extending oppositely away from the hub and terminating closely adjacent the bowl inner surface. A pair of similarly directed generally parallel straight integral support arms are vertically spaced on and extend oppositely away from the hub. Support arms having an average width greater than the cutters for adequate support.

Abstract: In a food processor with a power base having a bowl supporting portion and driven shaft extending vertically therefrom, an adjacent upstanding motor-containing housing of bowl height with a bowl on the portion containing a cutter on the shaft and an internal switch controlled motor energizing circuit, there is provided an improved interlock system comprising a bowl lid with structure operatively securing the lid to the bowl opposite the motor housing when the lid is rotated axially of the shaft toward the housing. A housing opening at lid height is provided opposite the securing structure and a probe-carrying arm on the lid is movable into the opening on lid rotation.

Abstract: In an SCR circuit controlled universal motor, means is provided for smooth speed control at all speed settings especially low settings which comprises a series wound stator field as part of the motor and at least one closed conductor loop of wire encircling the stator magnetic flux path.
