  • Patent number: 11973686
Abstract: In general, this disclosure describes a virtual router configured to enable multi-cloud service provider connectivity. The multi-cloud service provider connectivity may enable network function virtualization (NFV) services to be applied to network traffic such as enterprise traffic. The NFV services may be offsite, cloud-based NFV services or data center provider-hosted NFV services, for example. In one example, a system comprises at least one computing device deployed to a data center by a data center provider and configured by the data center provider to execute a virtual router, wherein the virtual router is configurable by a customer to route packet flows to one or more servers that host network function virtualization services for application of the network function virtualization services to the packet flows.

  • Publication number: 20240121890
Abstract: A structure of a circuitry substrate for securing an area from tampering is disclosed. The structure includes a circuitry substrate with at least one of a top tamper enclosure and a bottom tamper enclosure covering a component in a protected area of the circuitry substrate. The top and bottom tamper enclosures are adhesively bonded to a surface of the circuitry substrate, and a tear initiation site is added to a side of the perimeter of circuitry substrate bordering the protected area that includes at least one tamper enclosure, such that the tear initiation site is located and configured to enable propagation of a delamination of at least one internal layer of the circuitry substrate and a severing of a security circuit when a removal force is applied to the at least one of the top tamper enclosure and the bottom tamper enclosure.

  • Patent number: 11283720
Abstract: A network appliance can maintain an active set indicating active backends for a load balanced network service. To monitor the health of the backends, the network appliance can transmit a network packet to a backend that is one of the active backends in the active set and can receive a response packet responsive to the network packet. An invariant hash can be calculated from the response packet using fields that are the same when the response is a normal response (e.g. not an error response) from a healthy backend. If the packet indicates an error or is otherwise indicative of a problem, the network appliance can determine, using the invariant hash, that the response packet does not match an expected result associated with the backend. Based on the error, the number of network packets resulting in errors, etc., the backend can be removed from the active set.

  • Patent number: 10608945
Abstract: A system enforces administrative domain wide policies specified using labels that describe characteristics of servers or services. A label comprises a label value describing a characteristic of one or more computing devices for a label dimension. The system infers label values for devices using features describing characteristics of the computing devices, for example, hardware characteristics, software characteristics, or connectivity characteristics. The system obtains communication information indicating the destination, source, volume, and duration of network traffic between computing devices. The system identifies providers of services and consumers of services based on the communication information. The system generates rules for regulating communications between computing devices and enforces the rules.

  • Patent number: 5642198
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a glass inspection system for inspecting a transparent web of glass of indeterminate length as it moves along a predetermined linear path of travel at a predetermined, regulated and/or controlled speed. The web of glass is illuminated such that any defect in or upon the glass web appears as a shadow moving upon a relatively white/bright background. A number of high resolution CCD cameras "look" downwardly through the transparent glass web and are focused upon the white background to detect moving defect shadows. Each camera creates a succession of image fields or frames through which a shadow of a defect will pass as the defect moves with the glass web through the scan area of each CCD camera. Each image field defines a nominal light area and each defect shadow is depicted as a defect area of light differing from the nominal light of each image field area.

  • Patent number: 5433470
Abstract: A suspension system for an automotive vehicle having a sprung portion and an unsprung portions. The suspension system includes a leaf spring for insulating the transmission of road vibration from the unsprung portion of the automotive vehicle to the sprung portion of the automotive vehicle, the open span of the leaf spring being susceptible to resonance vibration. The suspension system further includes a resonance vibration damper which is able to attenuate resonance vibration of the leaf spring.

  • Patent number: 4186881
Abstract: An apparatus for irrigating the earth includes a portable vehicle having a hose reel connected to a supply of water under pressure. An elongated hose is carried by the reel and the end of the hose is connected to a travelling carriage having a water gun and such carriage initially is moved away from the vehicle by an external force after which water passing through the apparatus drives a turbine which rotates the reel and coils the hose thereon while pulling the carriage toward the vehicle at a selected speed so that a large area of the earth is watered automatically.
