Publication number: 20010045491Abstract: A mounting device suitable for use with a conventional bathroom tissue fixture. The mounting device may be used to support a dispenser from a conventional bathroom tissue fixture. In some embodiments, the mounting device includes a positioning member, a first support member, a second support member and a linkage operatively disposed between at least one of the support members and the positioning member whereby movement of the positioning member causes relative motion between the distal ends of the first and second support members. Latching mechanisms may also be used with the invention to inhibit the relative motion of the first and second support members. The mounting device may also include a housing and an attachment mechanism, such as a threaded fastener for attaching a dispenser to the mounting device.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2001Publication date: November 29, 2001Inventors: William R. Patent number: 6273359Abstract: A dispensing system and method for premoistened wipes. The dispensing system includes first and second longitudinally extending dispensing guides. The first guide is positioned substantially parallel and in proximity to the second guide to define a gap. The dispensing guides may each be rotatable about a longitudinally extending axis and comprise cylinders having a plurality of lands and grooves. The wipes are dispensed by passage through the gap and a dispensing opening having an edge which is defined in part by an impingement surface. The impingement surface has a first outer portion, a second outer portion and a central portion positioned between the two outer portions. The impingement surface is configured whereby the outer portions of the impingement surface more forcibly engage the wipe into engagement with the dispensing guides than the central portion of the impingement surface.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 1999Date of Patent: August 14, 2001Assignee: Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc.Inventors: William R. Patent number: 5361905Abstract: A package, which can be substantially hexahedral, is composed of a flexible polymer material and contains a plurality of articles. The package includes a front face wall, a back face wall, a top wall, a bottom wall and two oppositely located end walls. A plurality of stacks of the articles are contained within the package, and the article stacks arranged to extend in a generally parallel, side-by-side configuration with each stack including a multiplicity of the articles. Each of the stacks is aligned along an appointed stacking direction of the package, and each of the stacks has opposed facing ends thereof contacting opposed walls of the package. A designated opening mechanism extends across a selected primary opening wall of the package and extends across at least a portion of each of a pair of oppositely located, complementary opening walls of the package.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 1993Date of Patent: November 8, 1994Assignee: Kimberly-Clark CorporationInventors: Thomas P. Patent number: 5121995Abstract: The present invention provides a distinctive bag for receiving and containing selected articles. The bag includes a front panel having two opposed side regions and a top edge region. A back panel having two opposed side edge regions and a tip edge region is connected in facing relation to the front panel along the side edge regions thereof. A top gusset is connected to the top edge regions of the front panel. A handle web also connects to the top edge regions of the front and back panels to provide a carrying loop. The carrying loop is constructed to bridge over the top gusset and between the front and back panels in a configuration arranged to provide for an arm-suspension of the bag with the loop. The carrying loop provides at least two loop faces with each of the loop faces having at least one hand-grip region. Formed in each hand-grip region, there is a hand-grip opening configured to provide for a hand suspension of the bag.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 1990Date of Patent: June 16, 1992Assignee: Kimberly-Clark CorporationInventors: William R. Patent number: 4648513Abstract: The invention is generally accomplished by providing a sheet of cover material, folding the sheet such that one portion to become the front extends up to a line slightly below the edge of the portion to become the back. The flap of the back portion extending above the front is coated with adhesive; the disposal container is formed by sealing the sides of the folded sheet. Outward of the seal lines that form the container are placed tear lines such as perforation lines. The object to be wrapped then is placed onto the exterior side of the front of the container, and the container is wrapped around the object and sealed with the adhesive strip on the flap to form a package. The ends of the package are then sealed. The package may be opened by tearing at the perforations and unrolling the container by releasing the adhesive flap to recover the wrapped article.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 1985Date of Patent: March 10, 1987Assignee: Kimberly-Clark CorporationInventor: William R.
