  • Patent number: 6435469
Abstract: A mount for supporting an open umbrella from an object has a bracket adapted to be secured to a portion of the object and a holder for supporting the umbrella. The holder has a receptacle adapted to receive and support the downwardly inserted handle of the umbrella and a yoke oriented to receive the shaft of the umbrella. A spring biased pin permits rapid insertion and removal of the shaft into and from the yoke. Preferably, the receptacle is slidably engaged relative to the yoke so that the umbrella canopy can be lowered to closely shield the object. A hinge connecting the holder to the bracket permits the umbrella to be positioned at any desired angle in relation to the object.

  • Patent number: 6405442
Abstract: For assisting a golfer to determine the yardage from a golf ball to a target golf hole and to select the proper base club for the golf shot, a flat card has an elongated aperture with its top edge spaced from its bottom edge at parallel intervals taken across the aperture by distances decreasing in length from one end of the aperture to the other. The front and back faces of the card have first and second pluralities of the parallel intervals marked along the edges of the aperture respectively. The distances across the aperture at the marked intervals are nomographically coordinated to intervals of distance from the golf ball to the pin placed in the target golf hole. The distance from the golf ball to the pin is thus determinable by coincidental alignment of one of the marked intervals with the pin when the pin is visually registered in the aperture by the golfer.

  • Patent number: 6161691
Abstract: A mount for securing a putter in a golf bag has a bracket seatable on and securable to the mouth of the golf bag and an elongated open-top receptacle pivotally mounted proximate its longitudinal center to and above the bracket. The receptacle has a bottom wall opening through which the putter shaft extends into the golf bag and side walls contoured to receive the head of the putter with at least a portion of the top of the putter head resting on the bottom wall of the receptacle. The pivotal angular relationship between the receptacle and the bracket is adjustable to a position in which the putter shaft is aligned approximately parallel to the longitudinal axis of the golf bag when the putter head is resting on the bottom of the receptacle. The receptacle can be interchanged to accommodate either blade or mallet style putters. The same receptacle accommodates both left and right handed putters.

  • Patent number: 6065595
Abstract: A fishing box has a case outwardly shaped to suggest use for fishing. The case has mating hinged upper and lower segments, the lower segment being formed from thermally insulating material. A tray formed from thermally insulating material is removably nestled in the lower segment to define a thermally discrete lower compartment. A mechanism disposed in the upper segment permits a rod and reel to be removably stored in the box. A sub-compartment in the upper segment stores dry foods separated by the tray and by the rod from cold foods in the lower compartment. Preferably, the lower compartment is sized and contoured to store a beverage container, such as a twelve ounce can of pop, and the upper sub-compartment is sized and contoured to store a sandwich.
