  • Patent number: 10710318
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for laying up laminates. One embodiment is a method that includes laying up a multi-layer laminate of fiber reinforced material onto a surface, by: feeding a tape of fiber reinforced material to tape cutters which cut the tape into pieces, picking up pieces of the fiber reinforced material via pick-and-place devices at each of multiple lamination units that are in sequence in a direction of travel, and placing the pieces of fiber reinforced material via the pick-and-place devices to form a laminate as the surface and the lamination units change position with respect to each other and multiple pieces are laid-up concurrently.

  • Publication number: 20190024847
Abstract: A method of fueling a transporter with liquefied fuel gas includes providing a transporter having a fuel gas storage tank for holding a liquefied fuel gas, a sub-cooler fluidly connected to the fuel gas storage tank, and a consumer. Liquefied fuel gas from the fuel gas storage tank is pumped into the subcooler to create subcooled liquefied fuel gas. The subcooled liquefied fuel gas may then be introduced into the fuel gas storage tank, for example by spraying into a vapor space of the fuel gas storage tank. Liquefied fuel gas is pumped from the fuel gas storage tank to provide pressurized liquefied fuel gas, the pressurized liquefied fuel gas is vaporized and the vaporized fuel gas is provided to the consumer for propelling the means of transport using the vaporized fuel gas as a fuel.

  • Patent number: 9850092
Abstract: This invention is about a string line holder, used by construction workers for aligning construction units, that is inexpensive to make because of its simplicity in structure and its material which string line holder, after the string line is used up or defrayed, can be completely disposed of and replaced by another inexpensive string line holder of the same structure. The string line holder is made from a cylindrically shaped reel or spool on which the string line is wound and has an elongated handle which can be entirely inserted within a cylindrical passageway through the reel or spool and can be partially withdrawn from the cylindrical passageway such that the reel or spool can be rotated around a portion of the elongated handle. The string line holder, including the reel or spool and the elongated handle, is constructed from an inexpensive material such as cardboard or plastic.

  • Patent number: 9284776
Abstract: This invention is directed to providing an entertainment table from a readily accessible ladder, preferably an extension ladder, available in most households. In particular, the ladder is supported by a pair of saw-horse type supports at opposite ends of the ladder and various sized and shaped open-ended containers with extensions at their respective open ends are supported from and between pairs of spaced rungs of the ladder. The ladder may also be provided with an elongated planar support with one or more various sized and shaped openings therein and which planar support is supported by and along the rungs of the ladder or by and along the rails of the ladder. Also, the ladder may be provided with a plurality of support plates aligned side by side and supported by the opposing rails of the ladder with some of said support plates having a shaped opening therein.

  • Publication number: 20160019217
Abstract: Large media libraries containing songs, movies, or images, can be organized as a graphical media map. Depending on the contents of a particular large media library, the media map can have empty cells that do not correspond to a media item in the media library. To fill these cells with meaningful recommendations based on media items that are already in the library, a recommendation system provides a recommendation of a media item for a particular cell based on the media items corresponding to cells proximate to the cell. The recommendation is generated using metadata tags describing the nearby media items and media items that are not currently part of the media library. The recommendations can be updated based on changes made to the media map.

  • Publication number: 20160004738
Abstract: Libraries containing numerous media items such as movies, music, and still images can be difficult to organize in a meaningful and accessible way. To more efficiently and aesthetically organize media items in a library, media maps are generated from hierarchical trees. The media maps are displayed to a user via a user display device. The user can quickly navigate through the media maps to discover connections and similarities between media items previously unknown to the user. The user can further make changes to the media map by interacting with the media map via a user interface. The media map is then re-generated to reflect the changes made by the user. The user can thus personalize the automatically generated media map to reflect his own media preferences and opinions.
