  • Patent number: 12216797
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for managing personal data on a client computer, in which personal data associated with the client computer is identified by a policy management module. An analysis may be performed for the client computer by a server using fake personal data. To identify applications which may attempt to access the personal data, the fake personal data is tracked for access on the client computer. A policy is then created that disallows access of the personal data by any applications identified by the analysis of the client computer as accessing the fake personal data. The policy is then assigned to the client computer.

  • Patent number: 12125094
Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for facilitating migration of electronic shopping carts between devices. A user generates an electronic shopping cart based on interacting with a merchant website using a first device. In response to receiving a request for transferring the electronic shopping cart, cart data associated with the electronic shopping cart is obtained. The cart data is encoded, using a selected encoding technique, into a code, which can be a phrase, an emoji string, a QR code, or an image of a face that can be transferrable to a second device. The code is presented on the first device. In response to receiving the code from the second device, the electronic shopping cart is re-generated based on the cart data extracted from the code. The electronic shopping cart is made accessible to the user via the second device.

  • Publication number: 20240239517
Abstract: An aircraft skin alignment system includes a support structure to support one or more aircraft skins, a puller tool, and a clamp tool; the puller tool having a base, the base supporting a holding mechanism to releasably engage with a first aircraft skin and a pulling mechanism to apply a pulling force to the first aircraft skin when the first aircraft skin is engaged with the holding mechanism; and the clamp tool having a body supporting an edge locator; the puller tool is to pull the first aircraft skin such that a first edge of the aircraft skin abuts the edge locator, the edge locator preventing the first edge from being pulled past the edge locator; and tool holes can be drilled into the first aircraft skin such that the tool holes are aligned based on an edge index due to a position of the edge locator.

  • Patent number: 11937548
Abstract: A system and method for sensing an edge of a region includes at least one distance sensor configured to detect a plurality of distances of objects along a plurality of adjacent scan lines. A controller is in communication with the at least one distance sensor and is configured to determine a location of an edge of a region within the plurality of adjacent scan lines. The controller includes a comparator module configured to compare values corresponding to the detected plurality of distances, and an identification module configured to identify the location of the edge of the region according to the compared values. In one example, the values corresponding to the detected plurality of distances include couplets of standard deviations that are analyzed and selected to identify the location of the edge.

  • Publication number: 20240058869
Abstract: A powder bed fusion apparatus arranged to irradiate a powder bed using a charged particle beam is provided, the apparatus comprising a neutralising particle source operable to provide neutralising particles of an opposite charge to the charged particle beam, and a neutralising particle focusing system arranged to weakly focus a beam of the neutralising particles from the neutralising particle source on to the powder bed in the vicinity of the irradiation position of the charged particle beam on the powder, such that the neutralising particles neutralise charging of the powder bed by the charged particle beam. A method of additive manufacture using a powder bed fusion apparatus is also provided, wherein a part is formed as a series of layers, each layer being formed by scanning the charged particle beam over a layer of the powder bed to melt the powder according to a predetermined pattern.

  • Patent number: 11324900
Abstract: A dry powder inhaler (1) for pulmonary or nasal use, employing capsules (6) containing a dose of powder for inhalation, comprising four components: a capsule tray (2), a cover (4) and a mouthpiece (8) and an inhaler body (3). Air is drawn by the patient via the mouthpiece (8) which is in communication with the capsule (6) and travels via air paths through the device (1) and through the capsule (6) thereby dispersing and entraining the dose of powder. The capsule (6) is cut by cutting means (18, 19) located on the body (3). The inhaler body (3), the mouthpiece (8) and the cover (4) are provided with hinge segments (20, 35, 42) which when assembled together and the mouthpiece (8) is locked into the body (3), form a single hinge (5) and which allows the cover (4) to freely pivot around the body (3) and the mouthpiece (8).

  • Publication number: 20220032833
Abstract: A ground to vehicle loading device for loading cargo on a vehicle includes a frame that is pivotally mountable by a first end to a vehicle adjacent to a cargo area thereof. The frame is selectively pivotable from a first configuration to a second configuration. In the first configuration, the frame extends transversely from the cargo area to a surface upon and positioned for loading. In the second configuration, the frame is substantially horizontally and positioned to transfer the load to the cargo area. A leg is pivotally coupled to the frame proximate to a second end of the frame. A plurality of spikes is coupled to and extends from the leg distal from the frame. The spikes engage the surface to transition the frame from the first configuration to the second configuration as the vehicle pulls on the first end of the frame.
