  • Publication number: 20230344241
Abstract: A system for determining a linear state estimation of a power distribution network. The system includes a plurality of metering devices, a plurality of power sources, each of the plurality of power sources coupled to a respective metering device, and a plurality of collection devices, each of the plurality of collection devices in electronic communication with a respective metering device. The plurality of collection devices measure an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) dataset and calculate a phase angle of the power source coupled to the metering device. The system includes a host device in electronic communication with the plurality of collection devices. An electronic processor of the host device receives the AMI dataset and the phase angle of the plurality of metering devices, determines the linear state estimation of the power distribution network based on the phase angle and the AMI dataset, and identifies information associated with the power distribution network.

  • Publication number: 20070215746
Abstract: The aircraft includes a boomerang-shaped front wing (4), curving gibbously to the front, having a leading edge (4F), a trailing edge (4B) and the first and second airfoil tips (4E1, 4E2), a boomerang-shaped rear wing (6), curving gibbously to the back, having a leading edge (6F), a trailing edge (6B) and the third and forth airfoil tips 86E1, 6E2), the first wing box (8L) connecting the first airfoil tip of the front wing and the third airfoil tip of the rear wing, the second wing box (8R) connecting the second airfoil tip of the front wing and the fourth airfoil tip of the rear wing. The trailing edge of the front wing, the leading edge of the rear wing, and the internal surfaces of the wing boxes form a center opening (9) having, at least in part, elliptical shape.

  • Patent number: 6032539
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus (100) for separating at least a first component (e.g., liquid, etc.) from a second component (e.g, gas or vapor, etc.) from a multiphase fluid during non-ideal flows such as plug flow operation. The apparatus (100) generally has a first line section (111) tangentially connected to the inlet flow line (105) and a second line section (117) coupled in series to the first line section (111). The second line section (117) includes an upper portion and a lower portion, which are respectively coupled to an upper portion and a lower portion of the first line section. The first component is removed using a gas discharge line (119) connected to the second line section (117). A substantially horizontal line section (121) also connected to second line section (117) removes substantially liquids from the second line section (117).

  • Patent number: 5526684
Abstract: A self-regulating apparatus and method for measuring the components of a multiphase petroleum stream includes initially stratifying an incoming petroleum stream into substantially liquid and gas streams. The initial fluid stratification allows a flow-splitting separation to occur as the streams first enter a vertical separation tube. By positioning the inflow line eccentric to the vertical separation tube, a liquid vortex is created by the incoming liquid component to further enhance the liquid/gas separation. The liquid component is then drawn off by a liquid flow line also eccentrically positioned on the vertical separator, thereby minimizing the energy dissipation of the liquid vortex. Both the gas and liquid components can then be individually measured before being recombined at a common outflow port for discharge.
