Patent number: 6623315Abstract: A cable terminal includes a captivated locking ring and a sealed crimp joint to a cable. In a particular embodiment, the cable terminal is cast from a lead alloy and a crimp tube is lead plated before being cast into the body of the cable terminal. This forms a sealed pocket to accept the stripped end of the cable. The lead plating on the crimp tube cold flows during the crimping operation and forms a secure, reliable mechanical and electrical connection. In a further embodiment, heat shrink tubing with a heat-activated adhesive on the interior of the tubing is formed over the end of the crimp tube and cable.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2002Date of Patent: September 23, 2003Assignee: Gator Loc, LLCInventor: William Roderick

Patent number: 4035897Abstract: Apparatus for inserting wires into the wire-receiving portions of terminals in an electrical connector housing comprises a wire-inserting press and a fixture means which is separate from the press and which can be mounted on the press during the inserting operation. The fixture means comprises a block-like member having wire-locating means and housing positioning means thereon arranged such that when the housing and wires are located on the fixture means, the wires will be in alignment with the terminals in the housing. When the fixture means and press are assembled to each other and the press ram is moved towards the fixture means, cooperative aligning pins and sockets on the fixture and on the press ram move into engagement with each other precisely to align the wires and the connector housing with the insertion punches on the press ram.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1976Date of Patent: July 19, 1977Assignee: AMP IncorporatedInventors: William Roderick Over, Ronald Carl Brehm

Patent number: 3982643Abstract: A detachable front end loader for a tractor constructed to not only be easily mounted and demounted from a tractor, but to also be self-supporting when demounted. A loader frame having a rectangularly-shaped base rests level on the ground when demounted and is mounted flush with the tractor main frame when mounted. By a combination of expanding and contracting the hydraulic lift cylinder and moving the tractor ahead, the loader can be elevated into a mounted position beneath the tractor and secured thereto. Means for releasably fastening the loader to the tractor main frame are easily manipulated by the operator.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1975Date of Patent: September 28, 1976Assignee: Deere & CompanyInventors: William Roderick MacGregor, Dalton Harold Spicer
