  • Patent number: 10600628
Abstract: A system for conveying a time-varying voltage signal from a first subsystem to a second subsystem, and for monitoring and controlling the time-varying voltage signal, comprises a transmission line having a first end and a second end, extending from the first end at the first subsystem to the second end at the second subsystem. The transmission line is configured to be un-terminated, and have an electrical length substantially equal to a multiple of one half wavelength of the time-varying voltage signal. The system may further comprise an adaptive control configured to couple the time-varying voltage signal to the first end, and adjust a generator of the time-varying voltage signal based on a sampling of the time-varying voltage signal at the first end, and at least one transformer at the second subsystem electrically coupled to the second end and configured to increase an amplitude of the time-varying voltage signal.

  • Publication number: 20200092104
Abstract: A security code module is provided that a developer may include in an application. The application, when downloaded onto a mobile communications device, includes the security code module. The security code module then initiates a request to a server to determine the status of the mobile communications device. When the status indicates that the mobile communications device is not in the possession of the registered owner, a security component on the server performs an action in response.

  • Patent number: 10532046
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to compositions that are useful in the delivery of various materials. In particular, the compositions comprise a suspension wherein an internal phase material is surrounded by an external phase material. The internal phase specifically can be a hydrophilic material, and the external phase specifically can be a hydrophobic material. The materials are combined so that the internal phase is substantially encapsulated by the external phase such that release can be controlled in relation to osmotic pressure differentials. The suspension can be combined with a carrier, and various systems and products can be formed with the suspension and optional carrier, such as oral strips, spray delivery systems, smokeless tobacco products, aerosol delivery devices, cigarettes, and packaging.

  • Publication number: 20190248696
Abstract: Annealing treatments for modified titania-silica glasses and the glasses produced by the annealing treatments. The annealing treatments include an isothermal hold that facilitates equalization of non-uniformities in fictive temperature caused by non-uniformities in modifier concentration in the glasses. The annealing treatments may also include heating the glass to a higher temperature following the isothermal hold and holding the glass at that temperature for several hours. Glasses produced by the annealing treatments exhibit high spatial uniformity of CTE, CTE slope, and fictive temperature, including in the presence of a spatially non-uniform concentration of modifier.
