Abstract: A storage assembly includes a mounting rail extending in a longitudinal direction and having a plurality of pairs of flanges defining a plurality of slots. A mounting member includes a horizontal stop plate and a back plate extending downwardly from the stop plate. The mounting member is moveable relative to the mounting rail from a disengaged position, wherein the back plate is not disposed in one of the slots, and an engaged position, wherein the back plate is disposed in one of the slots. The mounting member also includes a storage component. Methods of making and using the storage assembly are also provided.

Abstract: A latch assembly includes a handle and an adjustment member rotatably secured to the handle about a longitudinal axis, but translatably fixed to the handle along the same longitudinal axis. A latch cam is engaged by the adjustment member and is non-rotatably fixed relative to the handle about the longitudinal axis, but translatable relative to the handle along the same longitudinal axis in response to rotation of the adjustment member. Another latch assembly includes a handle with a support member and a securing member disposed in a latch cam. The securing member is moveable between a release position, wherein the latch cam is moveable along the longitudinal axis relative to the support member, and an engaged position, wherein the latch cam is fixed to the support member. Various methods of adjusting the latch assemblies are also provided.

Abstract: A tie-down assembly includes a housing configured to receive a pair of bails. A cross-bar and post are used to rotatably connect the bails to the housing. The pair of bails can be identical to allow a strap to be cinched to the housing. Alternatively, the bails can be shaped differently, for example, to center a strap within the bail or to facilitate the use of multiple straps.

Abstract: A locking handle assembly includes a support member and a door comprising a longitudinally extending edge. The door is moveable between a closed position, wherein the door defines a plane and the edge is positioned adjacent the support member, and an open position. A first lock receiving member is mounted to the support member and a handle is pivotally mounted to the support member. The handle is pivotable between a locked position and an unlocked position about a pivot axis oriented substantially perpendicular to the plane of the closed door. The handle includes an elongated grippable member and a second lock receiving member. The handle does not extend across the edge of the door when the handle is in the unlocked position such that the door is moveable between the closed and open positions. The elongated grippable member extends across the edge of the door when the handle is in the locked position, wherein the first and second lock receiving members are aligned when handle is in the locked position.

Abstract: A bar lock for securing a door in a closed position in a frame includes a bar that forms a first interlocking profile extending along its length. The bar is mounted for rotation in first and second hinges by first and second hinge elements. The first and second hinge elements define a second interlocking profile shaped to mate with the first interlocking profile to restrict the hinge elements to axial movement along the length of the bar. The interlocking profiles maintain alignment and facilitate welding of the hinge elements in place on the bar. A similar approach can be used to facilitate assembly of a handle bracket to the bar. An elastomeric strip is affixed in a groove extending along the length of the bar to cushion contact between the bar and the door.

Abstract: A tie down assembly includes a mounting plate and a cross bar. The cross bar defines an integral post and two opposed recesses which receive ends of a tie down bail. The integral post passes through a bearing washer and a central opening in the central panel and defines an enlarged head that secures the tie down assembly together.
