  • Patent number: 11607927
Abstract: A computer includes a processor and a memory, the memory storing instructions executable by the processor to collect (a) ambient weather data, (b) vehicle speed data including at least one of a vehicle speed or an engine speed, and (c) operation data of a climate control subsystem of a vehicle, input the collected data to a regression program trained to output a predicted pressure of refrigerant of the climate control subsystem, the regression program trained with previously determined ambient weather data, data of a previous vehicle speed or a previous engine speed, and previous operation data of the climate control subsystem, determine an actual pressure of the refrigerant in the climate control subsystem, and actuate a component upon determining that a difference between the predicted pressure and the actual pressure falls below threshold.

  • Publication number: 20220347497
Abstract: A method of assembling a personal air purifying respirator includes assembling a housing including a blower disposed therein, a filter cavity, and an outlet manifold; installing a filter on the housing; attaching a filter cover to the housing with the filter cover disposed over the filter, wherein the filter cover defines an air inlet; and testing the filter including energizing the blower, introducing a testing aerosol into the air inlet, and measuring air exiting the outlet manifold.

  • Patent number: 9302565
Abstract: An exemplary vehicle is disclosed having a compressible fluid system including at least one sensor configured to determine a fluid pressure present within the compressible fluid system, and a circulator configured to circulate air in the engine compartment. The vehicle is configured to activate the circulator in response to a decrease in the fluid pressure, and in some approaches may also open a grill shutter or other fluid passage into the engine compartment. Exemplary methods may include providing a circulator configured to selectively circulate airflow, e.g., into an engine compartment of a vehicle, and detecting a fluid pressure decrease within a compressible fluid system in the engine compartment. The circulator may be activated to circulate air in the engine compartment in response to at least the detected fluid pressure decrease.

  • Patent number: 9120366
Abstract: A system and methods are provided for monitoring for a clogged or unclogged state of an air filter in an automotive HVAC system. The HVAC system includes a blower having a blower motor providing a driven airflow. A plurality of outlet registers is controllable to provide a plurality of circulation modes. An evaporator selectably cools the driven airflow, and the air filter passes the driven airflow. The method enters a baseline condition, wherein the baseline condition includes applying a moisture purge to the evaporator and selection of a predetermined circulation mode. The blower motor is controlled to maintain a testing speed. An energization of the blower motor is quantified while maintaining the testing speed. The energization is compared to a base value derived according to the baseline condition with the air filter in an unclogged state. A replacement action is triggered when the energization is greater than the base value.

  • Patent number: 4404987
Abstract: A trip cock device including a pilot valve actuable by a trip lever, when the train on which the trip cock is mounted passes over a trip arm secured to the track, for causing a release valve in the trip cock to be opened and opening brake pipe pressure to atmosphere, at an emergency rate, for effecting an emergency brake application. Axial displacement of the pilot valve, along with a stem thereon, causes a groove in the stem to be engaged by a detent member for securing the trip cock in open disposition until the detent is released manually.
