  • Patent number: 5718468
Abstract: A modular return spring cage assembly for door lock handles, consists of a door lock mounting chassis member having two opposed faces, at least one face having two opposed arcuate channels forming a circular groove in the face. The groove has two split diametrically opposed spring bases each formed by two substantially equal spring stops projecting from radially outer and radially inner walls of the groove. Two compression springs are slidably disposed within the channels and have length such that a slight compression is required to fit the springs between the split spring bases. An arrangement for transmitting torsional motion between a door handle and the springs, and for limiting rotary motion of the handle is included. A provision for positively retaining the springs and the torsional motion transmission arrangement on the mounting chassis member completes the modular assembly.

  • Patent number: 5566996
Abstract: A system for attaching door lock trim roses on inside and outside faces of a door, has a mounting chassis with inside and outside members, each having outwardly projecting portions with opposed cylindrical sector arcs. Fasteners join the outside member to the inside member to secure both members against the outside and inside faces of the door. Interchangeable hollow inside and outside trim roses have at least two inwardly projecting pips close to a door contacting lip of the trim rose. Detents on the outside member of the mounting chassis receive the pips of the outside trim rose and secure the outside trim rose against the outside face of the door; and grooves on the inside member of the mounting chassis receive the pips of the inside trim rose.

  • Patent number: 4896052
Abstract: A system to be used in combination with an air conditioning assembly and designed and structured for the detection of collected condensation at a predetermined level within a collection facility associated therewith and prior to actual over flow and also the detection of any leakage from any of the collection facilities or various plumbing components throughout the air conditioning system such that the detection of either excess collected condensation or leakage serves to shut-down the air conditioning assembly. The subject system may also be structured to restart the air conditioning assembly automatically once a level of collected condensation has receded or any leakage has been alleviated.
