  • Patent number: 11960683
Abstract: A display system for sensing a finger of a user applied to the display system includes a display panel; a sensor for sensing the finger; a sensing light source configured to emit a first light having a first wavelength W1; and a reflective polarizer disposed between the display panel and the sensor. For a substantially normally incident light, an optical transmittance of the reflective polarizer versus wavelength for a first polarization state has a band edge such that for a first wavelength range extending from a smaller wavelength L1 to a greater wavelength L2 and including W1, where 30 nm?L2?L1?50 nm and L1 is greater than and within about 20 nm of a wavelength L3 corresponding to an optical transmittance of about 50% along the band edge, the optical transmittance has an average of greater than about 75%.

  • Patent number: 9338051
Abstract: An example method involves providing, with a network management module of a network management system, current reroute statistics in a data structure based on the rerouting of the data from a logical circuit that has failed to a logical failover circuit in the network. The current reroute statistics include a committed information rate corresponding to the logical circuit in the network. The logical circuit is identified by a first logical circuit identifier. The logical failover circuit is identified by a second logical circuit identifier. The first and second logical circuit identifiers are renamed until the logical circuit has been restored from failure. Updated reroute statistics are provided, with the network management module, based on a change in a status of the logical circuit resulting from the committed information rate having been exceeded.

  • Patent number: 9295994
Abstract: An aluminum can cleaning system for separating magnetic materials and other debris from aggregate comprising aluminum cans comprises a conveyor having a magnet to cause the conveyor to retain a magnetic portion of the aggregate along a portion of the conveyor to separate the magnetic portion from a non-magnetic portion of the aggregate. The conveyor discharges the non-magnetic portion into an intake chute. An air duct has a first end in fluid communication with a lower end of the intake chute. A blower is configured to provide air flow from the intake chute into the air duct to carry the non-magnetic portion along the air duct. A channel is in fluid communication with a second end of the air duct. A screen is positioned along the channel to separate debris from aluminum cans and to direct the aluminum cans into a bin disposed proximate an opening in the channel.

  • Patent number: 9246261
Abstract: An underwater rolling seal connector assembly has releasably mateable connector units with one or more rolling seals mounted in front faces of units. The rolling seals are rotatable back and forth between a closed position sealing one or more chambers within the respective units which contain one or more contacts and an open position in which bores through the seals are open to allow contacts in one unit to pass through the seal openings and engage contact in the other unit. A shell of one connector unit has inwardly facing cam formations and each rolling seal has outwardly directed eccentric rotators configured for engagement with respective cam formations on mating and de-mating of the connector units, whereby travel of the respective rotators along the respective cam formations during mating and de-mating rotates the rolling seals into the open and closed positions, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20150278044
Abstract: An example involves assigning a first logical circuit identifier to a logical failover circuit prior to a failure of a dedicated logical circuit. The dedicated logical circuit includes first variable communication paths to route data through a first local access and transport area (LATA), second variable communication paths to route the data through a second LATA, and fixed communication paths to route the data between the first LATA, the second LATA, and an inter-exchange carrier. The failure of the dedicated logical circuit is identified based on status information pertinent to the dedicated logical circuit. The logical failover circuit includes an alternate communication path for communicating the data. When the first logical circuit identifier does not match the second logical circuit identifier, the second logical circuit identifier is renamed to match the first logical circuit identifier. The data is rerouted to the logical failover circuit without manual intervention.

  • Patent number: 9148365
Abstract: An example method involves generating, with a network management module, a data structure to store current reroute statistics based on rerouting of data from a logical circuit that has failed to a logical failover circuit in a network. The current reroute statistics include trap data corresponding to the logical circuit. The trap data includes a committed burst size. The logical circuit is identified by a first logical circuit identifier. The logical failover circuit is identified by a second logical circuit identifier. The first and second logical circuit identifiers are renamed until the logical circuit has been restored from failure. The table is updated with the network management module to store updated reroute statistics. The updated reroute statistics include updated trap data corresponding to the logical circuit. The updated reroute statistics are based on a change in status of the logical circuit resulting from the committed burst size having been exceeded.
