  • Publication number: 20240108461
Abstract: An atrioventricular prosthesis device is provided. The device includes a frame at least partially defining and enclosing a central cavity, the frame having a distal portion, a proximal portion, and a middle portion connected therebetween. The device further includes a valve construct formed, at least in part, from a cell growth scaffold, at least partially disposed within the central cavity defined by the frame. The valve construct includes: an annular portion defining an aperture and being connected to the frame for positioning the valve construct within the central cavity of the frame, and a plurality of leaflets extending longitudinally and radially inward from the annular portion. The frame and valve construct are transitionable to a deployed state, in which a diameter of at least a portion of the frame and the valve construct substantially conform to a diameter of a tricuspid and/or mitral valve opening.

  • Patent number: 5180793
Abstract: The invention is a polyester and a method for producing a polyester filament which has a combination of flame resistance and low pilling properties. The method comprises forming a polyester polymer from a mixture of two polymers, the first compound being the reaction product of terephthalic acid or dimethyl terephthalate, ethylene glycol, and an oxysilicon compound and the second compound being the reaction product of terephthalic acid or dimethyl terephthalate, ethylene glycol and a phosphinic acid in the amount between 0.5 and 20 mole percent of the terephthalate acid and monomer. In particular, the invention also comprises the enhanced fiber formed by the process, as well as the fabrics having a pilling of about 3 to less than 5 as measured in accordance with ASTM D-3512-82.

  • Patent number: 4770330
Abstract: A tool box designed to be size adjustable and for disassembly for easy storage and shipment. It has a removable center compartment and a pair of preferably identical end storage compartments adapted for conforming, straddle bed fitting in the bed of a pickup. The center section may be used for wide bed tool boxes, and may be removed for narrow bed tool boxes, and as well may be removed for storage. Thus, significant advantages of the three-piece straddle bed tool box are achieved.

  • Patent number: 4321819
Abstract: A gap-framed type press has a horizontal bed which holds a lower die that cooperates with an upper die mounted on a vertically reciprocally movable ram to perform a metal-working operation therebetween. Hydraulic cylinders are operatively engaged with the ram for moving the die members into and out of engagement. The ram is movably mounted on a pair of spaced vertical side plates which are bolted to the press bed. The bed is supported on a pair of side frame members by a pair of spaced spherical bearings. The side frame members extend parallel with and closely adjacent to the ram-carrying side plates and are connected to the side plates by a sliding connection. The elastic bending and deformation forces which are applied to the press frame during each operation are transmitted between the side frame members and side plates through their sliding connection and between the bed and side frame members by the spherical bearings.
