  • Publication number: 20220155851
Abstract: A method for adapting auditory biofeedback cues to adjust a user's gait includes receiving a series of respective first signals from each sensor of an integrated sensor system and converting the series of respective first signals into a series of respective second signals. Each respective second signal within the series of respective second signals can be quantized as an audio biofeedback cue and modified so the timing of each respective second signal is aligned to a pre-selected temporal or musical grid. The user's gait is then analyzed as a function of the audio biofeedback cues and the pre-selected temporal or musical grid can be adapted to adjust entrainment of the user's gait.

  • Patent number: 10761598
Abstract: A system and method for generating wireless signals from the physical movement of a person utilizing a movement detection mechanism attached to the person wherein the system allows a person to manipulate the generated wireless signals to selectively control digital responses which may be in the form of sensory-perceivable outputs such as sounds and/or visual effects, for example, through the person's physical movement. Movement sensors attached to the person (e.g., on one foot or both feet) communicate with other system components such as microprocessors, transmitters and/or tactile interface controls, for example, to wirelessly send signal pulses from a person to a computer or mobile device and allow the person wearing the sensors and/or another person to selectively control the dynamics of the digital responses so to create a unique sensory output.

  • Patent number: 10214698
Abstract: A method providing for the selective hydroprocessing of cracked naphtha feedstock to make a low-sulfur gasoline blending component. The method includes the use of two catalytic distillation stages in combination with two stripping columns and two fixed-bed reactors integrated in a novel arrangement so as to provide for the treatment of cracked naphtha feedstock that has a high sulfur concentration to yield exceptionally low-sulfur light cracked naphtha and heavy cracked naphtha products. The desulfurized light and heavy cracked naphtha are produced with a minimal amount of hydrogenation of the olefin content and at may suitably be used as gasoline blending components.

  • Publication number: 20160174946
Abstract: Described herein are various principles related to collecting and charting fertility data for a female (e.g., female humans). A dedicated device may be used to collect fertility data regarding the female. The device may include a thermometer for collecting a body temperature of the female as well as an interface for collecting data regarding a consistency and/or amount of a cervical fluid of the female. Once collected by the dedicated device, the fertility data may be transmitted wirelessly from the dedicated device via a wireless network (e.g., a wireless local area network) to a server that collects fertility data. The fertility data may then be displayed in a graph that enables a user to make determinations about a fertility cycle of the female, including determinations about times of high fertility. For example, from viewing the relationship between two lines included in the graph, the user may make determinations regarding fertility.

  • Patent number: 4886689
Abstract: A novel adhesive is described, consisting of a matrix-matrix polyblend of polymer components useful in an adhesive tie layer to bond incompatible polymer layers. The adhesives are a blend of the components making up the incompatible polymer layers themselves, or polymers substantially similar to these, and are melt processed to produce a matrix-matrix morphology with mechanical interlocking of the polymer components that is maintained upon cooling. Additives may be provided in one or both adhesive components to improve the cohesive strength of the adhesive formed by the mechanical interlocking.
