  • Patent number: 11408985
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods to provide accurate and reliable compact sonar systems for mobile structures. A sonar system includes multiple sensor channels, each comprising a sonar transmitter and a sonar receiver, and a logic device configured to provide control signals and receive sensor signals from the sensor channels. The logic device is configured to provide transmission signals to sonar transducer assemblies, where signal patterns of the transmission signals are differentiated based at least in part on frequency content. Acoustic returns are processed using the signal patterns to reduce inter-channel pickup between the sensor channels. Resulting sonar data and/or imagery may be displayed to a user and/or used to adjust a steering actuator, a propulsion system thrust, and/or other operational systems of the mobile structure.

  • Patent number: 9947309
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods for providing accurate and reliable compact sonar systems for mobile structures. In one embodiment, a sonar system includes a mounting bracket, a transducer support arm, and a pivoting mechanism pivotably coupling the transducer support arm to the mounting bracket such that, for forces acting on the transducer support arm that are less than a preselected kick-up level, the pivoting mechanism holds the transducer support arm against such forces and at a user selectable first angular position relative to the mounting bracket, and for forces acting on the transducer support arm that are equal to or greater than the preselected kick-up level, allows the transducer support arm to be moved by those forces to a second angular position relative to the mounting bracket.

  • Patent number: 9821616
Abstract: The vehicular hitch mounted winch is a winch mounting system for vehicles. The vehicular hitch mounted winch provides a structure upon which a winch is mounted. The vehicular hitch mounted winch is readily attached to the trailer hitch of an automobile and can be readily removed. The vehicular hitch mounted winch has mounted on it a plurality of lights that can be used to light the work area where the winch is in use. The vehicular hitch mounted winch also has a hitch receiver, which allows the use of a trailer when the vehicular hitch mounted winch is attached to the vehicle. The vehicular hitch mounted winch comprises an adapter post, a receiving post, a mounting platform, and a plurality of lights.

  • Publication number: 20080093015
Abstract: A method of making an elastic composite is provided. The method entails conveying a first web of material along a web plane path. The method also entails applying a first section of a first elastic strand onto the first web and generally transversely to the web plane path and applying a second section of a second elastic strand onto the first web and generally transversely to the web plane path. These applying steps are repeated while performing the conveying step, thereby arranging a plurality of first and second elastic elements on the first web, in generally parallel relation to one another. The resultant composite is suitable for incorporation into a disposable absorbent garment, textile or fabric structure, and the like.

  • Patent number: 4780065
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved cylinder pump. The cylinder pump includes air hoists enabling the entire pump assembly to be lifted so that a container may be placed thereunder and thereafter the air hoists may be biased downwardly so that the follower plate of the pump mechanism will bear down on top of the liquid contained within the container. Thereafter, the air cylinder of the pump is activated and reciprocated up and down through the provision of a four port reversing valve activated through the use of air sensors to cause the pump to pump fluid out of the container while the downward bias of the air hoists keeps the follower plate in contact with the surface of the liquid within the container. By separating the air cylinder actuator for the pump mechanism from the four port reversing valve thereof, improved reliability and quietness are attained.
