  • Patent number: 4936705
Abstract: A reservoir for leak detecting fluid for a tank is disclosed. A reservoir is used with a double wall glass fiber reinforced plastic tank where the tank has an inner wall, an outer wall, and annular space between the inner and outer walls for receiving a leak detecting fluid and an enclosed space within the inner wall for the storage of a liquid. An opening is provided in the outer wall of the tank and the opening is in communication with the annular space between the inner and outer walls. A one-piece reinforced plastic reservoir for leak detecting fluid is positioned on the tank. The reservoir has a sidewall and an end wall extending across one end of the sidewall. The sidewall is secured to the outer wall of the tank with the interior of the reservoir being in alignment with the opening in the outer wall of the tank.

  • Patent number: 4768692
Abstract: An end cap and tie down for use with a hollow slat of the type including a base portion adapted to be mounted in contiguous relation to a surface portion of a vehicle and a longitudinally extending slot in the upper surface of the slat communicating with the hollow interior of the slat. The end cap includes a main body portion having a height exceeding the height of the slat and defining a generally vertical abutment surface positioned against a terminal end of the slat to close that end of the slat and position the upper surface of the main body portion above the upper surface of the slat, and an attachment portion projecting from the abutment surface of the main body portion and sized to be received in the hollow of the slat.

  • Patent number: 4552281
Abstract: Two halves of a tank are secured together by an external lay-up comprising corrosion-resistant resin. Each tank half includes an outer structural wall and an inner liner, the structural wall comprising corrodible resin, the liner comprising corrosion-resistant resin, the structural wall ending short of the inner end of the tank half, and the liner being radially enlarged at the inner end of the tank half to cover the inner end of the structural wall.

  • Patent number: 4332100
Abstract: An attractive, compact, insect trapping appliance which uses a horizontal ultraviolet light to attract insects and a cylindrical air flow pattern forcing the insects into a water filled tray where they are trapped. The water trap permits easy, sanitary disposal with no special trapping element to replace. The water surface also acts as an air filter, cleaning pollen, dust and other airborne pollutants from the circulating air, and preventing fouling of the fan mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4236233
Abstract: The specification discloses a method and system wherein an operator interacts with an automatic data processing and display system to classify and sort subsurface reflective surfaces or segments in a multidimensional context. The technique utilizes a properly programmed general purpose digital computer in combination with a plurality of storage tube display screens. Seismic reflection data in the form of computer picked reflection segments, hereinafter referred to as seismic segment data, produced from previous computer processing steps is entered into the computer. Displays of the velocity, amplitude, dip and length of the segments in a space gate are then provided on the display screens. A data responsive surface having a network of conductive wires and a detecting stylus are utilized by the operator to operate upon the displayed segment data to classify primary segments and to define boundaries relative to each of the parameter displays.

  • Patent number: 4214473
Abstract: Simple apparatus for analyzing trace impurities in a gas, such as helium or hydrogen, comprises means for drawing a measured volume of the gas as sample into a heated zone. A segregable portion of the zone is then chilled to condense trace impurities in the gas in the chilled portion. The gas sample is evacuated from the heated zone including the chilled portion. Finally, the chilled portion is warmed to vaporize the condensed impurities in the order of their boiling points. As the temperature of the chilled portion rises, pressure will develop in the evacuated, heated zone by the vaporization of an impurity. The temperature at which the pressure increase occurs identifies that impurity and the pressure increase attained until the vaporization of the next impurity causes a further pressure increase is a measure of the quantity of the preceding impurity.
