Publication number: 20230179680Abstract: Data representative of a physical feature of a morphologic subject is received in connection with a procedure to be carried out with respect to the morphologic subject. A view of the morphologic subject overlaid by a virtual image of the physical feature is rendered for a practitioner of the procedure, including generating the virtual image of the physical feature based on the representative data, and rendering the virtual image of the physical feature within the view in accordance with one or more reference points on the morphologic subject such that the virtual image enables in-situ visualization of the physical feature with respect to the morphologic subject.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 1, 2022Publication date: June 8, 2023Applicant: ARIS MD, Inc.Inventors: Chandra DEVAM, Zaki Adnan TAHER, William Scott EDGAR

Publication number: 20220343609Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems for rendering an immersive environment, the systems comprising at least one electronic device configured to be coupled to a body part of a user, the at least one electronic device comprising a sensor, an actuator, or both; a processor capable of being communicatively coupled to the at least one electronic device; and a rendering device capable of being communicatively coupled to the processor. The processor is configured to execute machine-executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to obtain data from or provide data to the at least one electronic device. The rendering device is configured to receive rendering information from the processor, and render the immersive environment based at least in part on the rendering information from the processor.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 3, 2021Publication date: October 27, 2022Applicant: ARIS MD, Inc.Inventors: Chandra DEVAM, Zaki Adnan TAHER, William Scott EDGAR

Patent number: 9489086Abstract: Typing on touchscreens is improved by dynamically and automatically positioning the desired home-row keys of an onscreen keyboard below the user's fingers while their fingers are hovering above the surface, thus reducing the need for the user to look at the onscreen keyboard while typing. The location of each of the user's fingers while hovering and/or resting is monitored. Correlation between the hover sensor data and touch sensor data increases the confidence level by which the system can determine which of the user's fingers were used to select a key. By determining which finger was used to make the selection, the system accurately disambiguates which letter the user intended to type.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2014Date of Patent: November 8, 2016Assignee: APPLE INC.Inventors: Randal J. Marsden, Robert C. Chaplinsky, William Scott Edgar, George E. Gerpheide
